Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

Name suits. Welcome to the forum. If you have any specific questions just ask away. Only thing that comes to mind through your pictures is invest in a good collar with tags. Huskies like to run if you let them and a lot of people don't have a mind to return them or even try if you don't make it super easy for them to do so. _________________

I use a standard flat nylon collar with a metal quick release clip. None of mine are bothered by wearing their collars full-time. It ensures if they were to slip unexpectedly out the door if someone hangs the door open or something happens to the fence before I notice that I can at least get my dogs back. I don't like the jingle of tags though so I use a flat boomerang tag so I don't have to listen to the thing. _________________

The microchip that is loaded with your info and shot into the dog, or LoJack style tracking so you can follow gps to wherever they ran to? All of mine are microchipped with info in case their tags are lost a shelter or vet clinic could find me if they are found. I don't use actual tracking gps chips but we have a few members who have and have posted about it. check this thread out, and the subsequent internal links to more threads. https://www.itsahuskything.com/t16825-gps-pet-tracking?highlight=tracking_________________

There are also tag covers to silence the clattering of tags on a dog, you may want those if the jingle bothers Beauty or you. I'd also have her micro chipped, just in case the collar is lost and, she is found without it.
