| Misty is finally at the point where she'll sit still long enough for an ALMOST non-blurry photo, so I guess it's time to start a scrapbook for her. She's still a bit blurry, but we're working on her. This first photo is a bit freaky. We finally discovered exactly why our daughter wanted a Husky. I'd forgotten that years ago, her cousins got her a blue-eyed Husky stuffed animal. Our daughter named it "Dee-Dee" at the time, but now we're calling it Mini-Misty. Here's why: Misty's most distinctive feature is what we call her Sharpie-marking down the middle of her forehead. Last night, our daughter took an actual Sharpie and added the mark to her stuffed animal. That was all it took to make the stuffy an exact match for Misty. It's freaky -- almost like Misty was custom-made for our daughter based on this stuffed animal that she loves. We just had to photograph the two together. Then, of course, right after we took the photo, Misty turned and immediately tried to eat the stuffed animal ... |

| Love that photo; it reminded me of when our son was 8, and we replaced his favorite stuffed animal, a baby golden retriever with the real thing. He came home and we told him that there was a surprise for him in his room, he went in and looked all over and didn't see anything. She was asleep on his pillow, just like the stuffed version.
When he finally saw her he lit up like it was Christmas morning! |

| Presenting the amazing Half-a-Husky! Blurry even when she's half-asleep ... I just gotta get a better camera. ANYWAY, yeah, I looked up and had only half a dog. Sure, it's a huge sofa, but ...! I swear, Misty can bend herself in half. She's like a big pretzel. I also can't get over just how LONG this dog is. She's like a cat -- very long-bodied. And just to prove that I DO have a whole Husky: Even when she's stretched out, Misty still looks like a pretzel. Look at those shoulders. Total contortionist. Dunno why her ear looks brown. She does have some brown fur on her head, but I don't think it's really quite that pronounced. Stupid camera. She's still very thin, but not nearly as bony as she was when we got her. Her ribs used to stick out, but not anymore. Still, she's very ... LEAN. |

| Such cute pics I am in love with her coloring!the sweetest face too. Second pic looks kinda freaky, lol...her shoulders look like two tiny arms! Hahaha. First pic I love the way she's holding her right paw, my two do that and to me it's the cutest thing. |

| Oh, yeah -- Misty sleeps like that all the time. Otherwise she's sprawled on her back with all four paws in the air. She's completely taken over that sofa, by the way. It is an absolutely HUGE sofa -- big enough to seat four adults to watch football -- and yet somehow it's only big enough for one pushy 50-pound Husky. When the sofa is full of people and there's no room on it for her, she sits in front of the TV and barks her head off until someone gives her a seat. |

| Here's Misty wondering why I'm taking a photo of her. She's definitely a "den dog." When she's in a room without her crate, she either crawls under the most convenient piece of furniture or shoves herself under the legs of anyone who's sitting down. |

| Updating Misty's scrap book with a few photos that were posted elsewhere, just so I can have them all in one place. THIS one is new, but Misty is still mostly blurry. I kinda like this one, though -- She ALMOST looks regal, except for the one hind foot sticking up: Here's the one of her sitting on her tail. Misty the tail-less wonder! And here's Misty looking all bummed. It was Christmas day and she'd run out of presents to open. Spoiled girl! |
