| @Chris...I guess my neighbor on the other side, spoke to them about the fire and the danger with the canyon cuz not the firepit has been moved closer to their patio. These new neighbors also have a young Pitbull (3 years old) they leave out during the day when they leave, I'm gonna have to warn them of the other dangers in the canyon, for them but especially the Pitbull. Like the rattlesnakes, coyotes, etc. besides the busy road down below, which should be obvious, haha, but these people don't seem to bright. @Ronin...thank you! I took more pics today, still not happy with them but I'm done. I chose one, it'll have to do. Image is good, it's the "quality" that sucks, not sure if it's the camera or me, but anyways, here is the one I chose (3rd pic down...iPad installs them in its own order I guess, haha) and then a few others. More complaining, lol This is the one I think I'm choosing for my main card pic The pine cones. I had them in the shrubs as props...soon as I brought them out to the front yard, Mishka's nose started twitching...within seconds she was snagging them from the bushes, lol. At the end, I let them have one. Not sure what Mishka sees in these things |

| Oh, perfect! Seriously magical setting with your fairytale Huskies. You captured Kohdi's beautiful eyes in the main card choice, and he and Mishka are smiling exactly the same happy smile. I'll bet Hallmark would buy the rights!
And the pinecone shot is like, here's your reward: go ahead and chew the props. Too cute!
We live in an estuary, so water moccasins and alligators...plus a fox lives on our acreage. The commercial-grade fence on a concrete footing, short grass, and no bushes in the backyard are meant to help keep Grant safe during supervised play. Can't imagine leaving him out there when I'm not home. Yes, warn the folks, but some people will do what is convenient.
Again, your card is breathtaking.

| Seriously great Christmas photos -- Thank you for sharing them! We tried to take holiday photos of Misty this weekend, without success -- She just will NOT stay still for more than two seconds. I don't think even a straightjacket could keep her still. I think I like your WOOOOing photo the best. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! |

| @Chris...thank you so much! I'm really disappointed in the pics this year, though dogs are great, it's the quality that sucks. They have a certain blurriness to them. Last years pics turned out so much better. I'll post a few of them in this post. I have enough of a selection though to make a good card though I think. Ugh, alligators, to be, are like the scariest things on earth! Water moccasins I don't know anything about but they sound nasty. Are these occurrences very often or is it more a rarity where you live? Pics from last year. .. |

Thank you so much, Faye! I really should use a woo wooing pic for the card once, haha. He complains every year, LOLOL. You still have to get pics of Misty. If she won't stay still for a pic, then put maybe a big bow on her or something, and just let her be herself, snap pics when you can and I bet you atleast one of them will be a priceless shot. If you do try again, please post here, I'd love to see it! |

| Rattlesnakes = Water Mocs as far as frequency of appearance. I try to eliminate the habitat in Grant's area, and only a tiny alligator could get through the fence. If I don't use a tripod, almost all of my photos are blurry in the winter because of the light. I still think they look fantastic. I would love to see a children's story illustrated with your photos of Kohdi and Mishka. |

I would love to see a children's story illustrated with your photos of Kohdi and Mishka. I've done something similar in my yard for the rattlesnakes. Part of the canyon slope is fenced (chain link) I've completely cleared the fenced in area, and at the bottom of the chain link fence I've put mesh so bunnies can't get thru to eat my grass, but it also keeps the rattlers out I think. Tiny alligator doesn't seem any better to me, LOLOL, it's still an alligator And thank you! I've started designing my cards last night and the pic looks good! I've also got my naughty and nice pics together now (with the help of another member here, GravityM) so I'm good to go! I'll post it. |

| Thank you Chris! I was just gonna post his pics of him running (I love when I can capture them and turn out decent looking, so many times he's just a blur) cuz he just looks so HAPPY, but I had taken these others recently so threw them in too. I just take too many pics, lol, I have tons that aren't even in here. |

Thank you so much Chris! They weren't intended to be artistic but I guess they turned out that way. Ok, here are the Christmas tree pics I mentioned in Grant's scrapbook...I didn't wanna take up room in his scrapbook so I'm posting them here. First pic is the tree from about a block away, I'm standing in the elementary school parking lot...second pic is Kohdi, Mishka, and my mom underneath the tree. They're hard to see, sorry, I didn't wanna use the flash cuz I wanted the tree to be seen, but I guess it would be seen anyways, lol. Ugh, I'll need to use another post to post them. When I use the "quote" tab, it moves the pic loading icon to the first position, then the box where I load images is in the way of the post button and I just can't move that box. |

It's pretty cool, Chris! On the Sunday following the Thanksgiving holiday, everyone in the neighborhood is invited to the lighting of the tree. They serve cookies and warm drinks, sing Christmas Carole's and only ask that, if you can, bring some canned goods so they can be donated to homeless shelters/those less privelaged. Tree stays lit until the 6th of January. It's pretty awesome. The original owners of that house, first started this tradition as a memory to a family member killed by a drunk driver. The new owners of the house, found out about this tradition from neighbors and decided to continue the tradition, hired a crane, bought all new, low energy LED lights, and had the tree done. You wouldn't believe from where in San Diego you can see this tree! It's amazing! |
