Stealth Chewer!! Empty
PostSubject: Stealth Chewer!!   Stealth Chewer!! EmptySat Jan 20, 2018 5:20 pm

So today I put my hand in the left pocket of my jacket, and it came out the other end... Shocked

This reminded me of the day I put my hand in the left pocket of my OTHER jacket, and it came out the other end...
car keys were gone!  (Rumo and I wound up walking home from the park that day - 1.5 hour trek on top of the 1 hr. walk we had in the park, argh). Then I rode the bus back, with spare key, to retrieve the car. At the time, I thought, weird - well, that jacket was getting old...?

Today I realized, our well-behaved quiet dog who lays around peacefully, gets busy sometimes when we aren't watching! He is SO sneaky!!  I work from home, so he must really be looking for golden opportunities...nobody has even seen him go near our jackets!

And I realized why the LEFT pockets - because I keep treats in there so we can work on Look at Me, Sit, Recall when we are out walking!  ( I do take them out of my pocket when I get home, but I think my left pockets still smell tasty...)

These are the times when I realize he's Smart...
smart like his Husky half, not like his GSD half?

Well, before I blame him for the jacket pocket holes, maybe I should try to catch him in the act!
Maybe we have mice or something...
innocent until proven guilty, right...

Archer used to do that as a pup...he would climb in my lap and appear to be asleep under my arm.  Then I would find holes in the pockets of my fleece.  He was sucking on the fabric like it was a pacifier!

Cain is also a stealth chewer and stealth counter surfer!! We cannot catch him in the act! But even worse....he is a kleptomaniac!! True story! He steals everything...remote controls, ear buds, sunglasses, socks. But the strangest thing is that he takes all of his stolen goodies and puts them in my rose garden and doesn't chew on them. He just makes a little pile of prizes. So whenever anything is missing at our house the rose garden is the first place we look.

Ha, very funny! So it is difficult to catch them in the act!!
The rose garden klepto behavior is so funny!

Yea, somehow this seems like Husky smarts to me...
My impression of Shepherds is that they don't try to sneak around behind your back...
Rumo must know it's wrong, because he has never done it when we can see him!

Well, this cured us of leaving our jackets all over the place, I guess...
and I'll always check my pocket before putting car keys in there!!!
