LOL Good luck with that! Actually if you go to their website Evo pet and go to the "Contact Natura" section you can put in a request for coupons. They mail them and you get two coupons, one for $3 off any Natura product and another for $5 off any Natura product that you can take and redeem at any store. The coupons are good for any Natura products be they dry, canned or the treats.

All three eat Eagle Pack, which is made close to here. It's my understanding that the late Susan Bucher fed it to her dogs. Anyone out there heard of it? Am going to check into this whole "grain-free" thing after reading here, tho.

We used to feed Eagle Pack Holistic... I was happy with it, but Koda's stool was pretty mushy, so we started trying other things to see if it sat better with him and settled on what we feed now.

There's nothing wrong with feeding grain-based kibble as long as your husky enjoys it and does well on it. If their stools are formed and firm, then I wouldn't worry about switching to grain-free

Great stuff! I haven't fed it yet but I have a bag at home that I am going to give a try once I finish their current bag of food. I don't intend to use it long term, even if it does agree with one or both of mine, since I like their current foods better however I bought a bag to see if maybe it's something I can add to my rotation. I like the ingredients and would not mind adding it to my rotation one bit if it agrees with either of mine.

I've tried Eagle Pack Holistic in the past as well and it does not agree with either of mine AT ALL! lol

Update on the Evo... Roxy is doing very well on it - her stools are much much smaller, solid, and not so stinky... expensive but worth it!!

Koda gets Grandma's Lucy's Venison dog food. It's freeze-dried raw and he does great on it (it cost nearly $100 for it so he darn well better be!). We just went through a kibble crisis and there is honestly NO kibble he can tolerate, so we went something that was near a raw diet. He also gets pure raw occasionally.

I'm 19 years old and on my own, I have a charge card specifically for Koda's food and itger needs so I can take 2 months to pay it off rather than put upfront in cash. He has a strict list of treats that agree with him too, that range from 8-16$. He is quite a pricey dog but I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep him healthy, you know. If only the little brat was more keen to eating raw- he loves ribs, ox tail, and that's about it. He doesn't like chicken, lamb, fish, or any of that raw and on the bone (or off.. if it's off I have to chop it into 1/2inch pieces for him to consider eating it). When I did feed raw, I use to have to sit there for 30 minutes, tear off little pieces, and throw them to get him to "fetch" and eat it before I tried to retrieve it front his mouth.. this was done with liver and organs. NOT FUN!

We fed Jax Ekanuba and we are feeding Rodney the same thing now. I have been reading through this topic and I am learning new things. I thought Ekanuba was the best but I guess not :-). Rodney is 11 mnths old and we are in Texas so of course we don't hike or any of that with him... If we switch to Evo is there a certain one I should use? or is there a certain one that better meets the huskies diet?

If you go with Evo (or any brand really) there's no real magic guarantee. We've had lots of good luck with fish, but that's just Koda. Every dog is different. You just have to find something that works for him.

If he's not getting a ton of exercise, I would be careful with Evo. It's VERY protein rich and high in calories. You may find that he has a lot more energy on it, so be prepared to deal with that. You will also not need to feed him NEARLY as much food and that may be a bit shocking at first when you see how much less! (It was for us).

No matter what you decide, make sure you switch gradually and be prepared for a long period of trial and error. Good luck!

Up until recently Arapahoe got various different feeds depending on what we went to and what natural dog food I could get. Last year we found Green Dog,. It is human grade either turkey or lamb with brown rice and added natural vitamins and herbs. It also contains a form of parasite repellent. My dogs look fantastic on Green Dog and we were so impressed with it that we have added it into our range of natural dog products that we sell. (this is not a sales pitch)

im asking b/c roxy will only eat small bites and TOTW is 2 miles up the road verse 30 for blue buf wilderness

maybe about a little smaller then a dime, also depends on the batch as some times it has been smaller but never larger.

Ok good, once we get low on food might buy a small bag of TOTW and see if she likes it when mixed with the Wilderness

So I have recently found out about a food called Fromm and it is supposed to have like 5 different flavors and they are supposed to be interchangeable... I thought that was pretty neat:) I am thinking about changing my dogs over...

My advise, for what its worth is what ever you feed make sure it is 100% natural with no additives, as many processed feeds can cause liver and kidney problems later in life. The feed we use is meat and brown rice with added natural vitamins and herbs. Many poor grade feeds are very high in sugar and salt and can in fact lower the life expectancy of a dog. Another point to consider is the protein level. If your dog is not a working dog then it will not need the protein levels that a working husky needs. Excess protein can have behaviour problems.

Icon tried the salmon a la veg, I gave him a few pieces like a treat and he actually ate them, he normally won't eat kibble as a treat only as a meal.... I also have samples of the pork and applesauce, the duck and sweet potato, and the whitefish and potato....

the grain free looked pretty good how much is that food Brit?
