I know the forum is still small, but for when the forum starts to have alot of people I want to have this set aside to easily guide people to other husky lovers in their area. This one is dedicated for people here in Florida. So if your from Florida post your area and maybe we you can arrange a meet up with another person.

I will start by saying Im in Jacksonville. So if anyones near by post on here and maybe we can arrange a meet up.

Maybe you should post pictures of yourself without a shirt on. I bet people will want to meet up then! I know that I'd have a fairly strong urge to come down from Colorado if you posted topless pictures of yourself! I love you

I'm in the Orlando area too! Where in Orlando are you? I'm over in Winter Garden and we take our Dakota to a husky meet up that takes place monthly at the West Orange dog park in Winter Garden, FL.

Oh absolutely! It's a public dog park anyway so it's not just huskies there. Although coming from Sanford will be a little bit of a drive for you. Neutral The next meet up is Sunday, July 12th at 11 am at the West Orange dog park. I think just about every time I've gone to that dog park there's been at least one GSD there too. Smile I didn't go to the June meet up, it was just too hot and I don't know if I'll be going to the July meet up for the very same reason...we'll see.

That's good - no worries about the drive, though! Evo needs socialization with big dogs. He's playful but tends to be scared of the big pups and is also very quick to become submissive. My MIL's 6 month old puppy (who is 60 lbs and can walk under Evo) is definitely the more assertive of the two. I would love to see him play with pups his own size and temperment.

We'll be out of town until the 11th so depending on how we feel when we get back will determine whether we make it down there. We will certainly try, though! Evo needs playmates! The cat just isn't the same as another dog! LOL

We are planning to go to the dog park on Sunday. Do you think you'll make it ? Obviously, storms will keep us at home but Evo needs exercise. Wondering exactly where the husky group meets in the park. Hope to see you there!

Wow, I totally forgot there was a meet up tomorrow! Hmm, I'm not sure if I will be able to make it. Do you know where the dog park is? Here's the address: 12400 Marshall Farms Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787 The dog park is separate from the human park and believe me, you won't miss it and all the huskies running around. Very Happy When we have a husky meet up the parking lot gets full quickly so keep that in mind. I would definitely love to go and will do my best but it would mean shifting around our weekend plans which I'm not sure will be all that easy. Check your PM's, I will be sending you one shortly.

Val,

Thanks for meeting up with us there! We really enjoyed the experience - we probably would have been more talkative but being this was Evo's first big boy experience at a dog park, we were probably too worried about how he would behave! We loved meeting your gorgeous boy and hope that he and Evo have more opportunities to play!

Likewise, we really enjoyed your company. Don't worry, we've been there many times and you do end up having to constantly be watching your dog(s) regardless of how much experience they have there. Case in point when Dakota was digging in (and drinking) the muddy water and didn't listen to me when I called him...typical sibe. lol He really does listen amazingly well at home. Laughing And when I had to interrupt you guys (sorry!) to go pick up Dakota's "mess". I've learned if I don't go to him when he's in mid-poo it's darn near impossible to find. Sorry, probably TMI! lol

Hey Jess, just thought I'd give you a heads up that there is another husky meet up at the West Orange dog park (same as last time) this coming Sunday, Aug 9th at 11 am. I don't think I'll be there this time but just thought I'd let you know in case you're interested in attending with Evo. Smile

I live in Florida! Clermont to be exact. We take our pups to the dog park in Winter Garden all the time! We've met up with quite a bit of huskies there as well! About six or seven of them! A couple of malamutes as well!
