Im trying to solve the issue of Finley ruining all of her stuffed toys..she isn't particularly interested in things like kongs and rubber toys. She likes bones and elk antlers and such, but I don't want to give her those all the time. She loves stuffed toys the most but she tears them apart and I always catch her playing with the squeaker and Im worried she'll swallow one at some point. Any suggestions for toys that she may like? I don't want to waste money on a bunch that she won't like because those things get expensive lol!

I know kong makes some stronger stuffed toys but strength is relative. Mine get a squeaky ball from JW pet and it's held up pretty well. If you get to worrying about the squeaker you can pop it out of that ball without ruining the ball. My parent's pup has a sock type toy. Looks like a 'coon but it slips over a bottle so it crinkles and when the bottle is destroyed they just put anther in so they don't have to worry about stuffing but it has the fluffy critter look. There is a honeycomb looking ball that looks like a skeleton ball essentially. some will cut strips of old tshirt and stuff through the holes of the ball and supervise the dog while they 'destroy' it by pulling the strips from inside it. When they are done you pick the strips up and put them back in and let the dog start again. Lets them destroy without really destroying anything. Just have to always watch them. _________________

As long as you are giving toys only when you are around (to stop any eating of soft toys) I came up with a solution for us: I use old fabric: sweat pants are the best, cut each leg length wise into 4 long pieces than tie in multiple knots, tube socks pulled over a 1 liter empty plastic soda bottle (I suppose, for additional noise, you could put a handful of dried beans), pillowcase tied into a huge knot (my son's dog, Archer, likes to sleep in our bed with us and has a habit of bunching up the comforter, holding it with his paws and sucking on it. Quite endearing but really hard on the comforter (do you KNOW how many feathers are in those things So I made a "sucky" out of a pillow case for him (used an unlaundered one for scent) )

I just let my two have the stuffed toys. Once they rip apart, I pull out all the stuffing, squeakers if there are any (I have a whole drawer full of them!) and let them play with it to their hearts content. Any pieces that get to small, I pick up and throw away, some of Kohdi's favorite toys are the remnants of what was once a cute, stuffing filled toy!

Have you tried rope toys? Those may hold up a little better than the soft squeaker toys. I believe I've even seen some soft toys come with rope arms and legs to help last.
