Welcome!
North Star Siberian Husky Rescue was founded October 1, 2011 by a small group of individuals dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of Siberian Huskies. Our Board Members, Officers, program coordinators, and the volunteers of our Rescue receive no monetary compensation. The compensation we do receive comes in the form of personal satisfaction - knowing that we have improved the quality of life for a needy Siberian Husky.
Mission StatementNorth Star Siberian Husky Rescue (NSSHR) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of Siberian Huskies and owners through advocacy, education, and support. Volunteers facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered Siberian Huskies and place them into lifelong, committed, loving homes.
Purpose NSSHR does not have a physical shelter location. The administrative office is located in Monument, CO and operates with volunteers mostly in the Denver, CO area. These foster volunteers provide shelter in a family home atmosphere where the dogs can recuperate from injury, disease, or stress so that they can become healthy and adoptable.
CredentialsNorth Star Siberian Husky Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We received our letter of determination from the IRS on June 31st, 2013. Your donation is tax-deductible.
