I'm finally getting around to introducing my pup and I! My husky girl is named Echo. She's all-white, with white-blue eyes with two gold flecks (hence the username). She's going to be two years old in January, and I've had her since she was about 6 months old. She is goofy and amazing, and we're both adjusting to life in Southern California. She was the puppy of a husky that was rescued by a good Samaritan out of a horrible, neglectful situation that did not have room for the surprise litter that followed (Echo has been fixed so the cycle of unplanned pups stops with her). The rescuer knows the mother was a full husky, but we don't know about the dad! I might try getting her DNA tested one of these days. I registered a while ago but hope to stay tuned a lot more. It's nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the forum. I did the embark DNA test on one of mine and was happy with how thorough it was. _________________

Thank you, everyone! <3 TwisterII- do you have a recommendation as far as DNA testing companies go? jbealer, yes, she does have a party eye! Both of them technically are, but the right one never shows- it's just a little gold fleck on the limbal ring. I moved from another part of CA, but I've lived all over the U.S.

Embark is considered the gold standard of DNA testing right now. That is who I had do my boy. There are others like wisdom but they just don't have the database to be super accurate where some mixes are concerned. _________________
