Hi im a first time owner of a husky hes name is yuki and is 5 months old. i bought hik at 3 months old recently he has became really bitish he would bite off our hands each time we play it i hace like 2 scars atm i dont know what to do i researched the net and found that holding his mouth if he bites would stop it but he just became more aggressive before when i carry him he wouldnt bite but now he does. he would also bite people if they try to touch him the only way to pet him is if i have a treat or if i let him bite me then pet him thatll stop him to bite i have tried so much solutions across the net but none works especially by saying ouch or leaving him if he bites he still bites whatsoever thx for whoever can help me

hello it actually started biting hard after i tried holding his muzzle before his bites wasnt that hard it was light but after i held its muzzle ge would bite us not let us pet him i believe its a form of protection? iwatched a video saying i needed to hold his muzzle but it looks like he became more aggro but i shall try doing what that topic says. also was it wrong to hold his muzzle anyway to reverse it?

I would not hold his muzzle. As was also mentioned in the other thread it can cause your pup to become more excited and the biting to become worse. How old is he? He maybe teething and need something to chew on to help with the teething. When he bites can you redirect him to playing and chewing on something else? If you have tried this what have you used to redirect him? _________________

I would get some toys, perhaps with squeaker, to try to redirect his attention to. Teething could be some of the crazy chewing and biting. You should be getting closer to the end of teething but each dog loses their baby teeth at their own pace. You may also look at nyla bones. Check what interests him. If he tries to bite take the toy and catch his attention. Try to keep his attention on it but if he tries to bite at you again put him in a sit and make him hold it until he calms down, then you can start him again with the toy. You can also try spraying your hands with bitter apple spray so they taste bad. If you spray your hands though don't play with the toys. You don't want the taste transferring to them. I would spray then try to pet him. Hopefully he will hate the taste and lose interest in your hands. _________________

I guess that depends on how you feel about licking. lol. Some dogs don't like the spray and others are unaffected. You don't know until you try. Some have tried tobasco sauce as well. Old trick was linseed oil. Broken a lot of kids from biting their nails with linseed oil. _________________
