I am looking into one of these for the doggo:

They aren't cheap, but I'm of the "buy once, cry once" mentality. Anybody have experience with these?

The crate training goes like this: 1 step forward, 15 steps back. There seem to be triggers that cause her to regress. I'm figuring out the pain points, but they are largely unavoidable (i.e., going to the vet). When she is not having it, she tears the crate up and manages to escape even with bungies, etc. I'm sure that many of you have experienced this. The Gunner looks tough enough to take it and could be a decent long-term investment.

Picked up a Ruff Tuff Kennel from Cabela's. Recommended to me by a hunter:



It was about 300...not cheap but about half of the Gunner price. I'll let everyone know how it goes in the product review thread.

I have found that the best tough stuff is usually recommended by hunters since they take their dogs so far in the back of trucks usually. We used to ship our bird dogs all over but never needed anything more heavy duty than the normal enclosed kennel since our soft mouthed bird dogs weren't at risk of chewing. That one looks like it has more internal room than the gunner. The walls looked so thick on that one it looked like one would have to step up to the largest size just to have enough internal space for a full grown dog. Hope it works out well.
