Hello! It's been awhile since I've posted. I have a question about my new puppy Kayleigh. I'm not sure what color she because of her cream undercoat. The breeder says she's a grey and white but I think she might be sable because she doesn't have very much pure white fur like my black and white husky has. What are your thoughts?

My two are both grey and white and, to me, looked just like ur little girl as pups so, I don't know, pics are often different than seeing them in person. Anyways, I have a pic of Kohdi handy so here he is...as a pup of course

I would trust what your breeder says. To be honest, I think it's too hard to tell what your husky will be until it's a bit more grown up. When I first got Echo, the breeder told me my puppy was white/grey...but he looked more beige with a black racing stripe down his back...but now that he's 6 months, the beige has all but gone save for a bit on his forehead, and he's turning more white and dark grey... who knows what he'll change to in a couple of weeks.

So I say trust what your breeder says, because he'll be most familiar with what he bred and what they'll probably eventually turn out to become.

Here is an image of a grey and white next to a sable for those that are curious about the difference. Apparently, sable is pretty rare.

Sable is part of the grey/white family if I remember correctly, so on her papers she will be classified as grey/white, even if she is sable (again, if I remember correctly) I had two silver/whites, also part of the grey/white family, but on their papers they were "grey/white". So the breeder wasnt clueless or mistaken when she told you grey/white, she was pretty much just putting her coat color in its category. I hope you will update here as she gets older, I'm curious to see how she changes!
