| That is my 14 month Husky/Malamute Max. Currently he's a month into recovery from a partial ACL tear, but he still tries to pull on walks and wants to play with everybody no matter what i tell him (It's a husky thing!)

| Beautiful boy! Love the dirty face.
Just a note on posting a picture. If you click on "links" under the image, you will be given 3 categories, you want the middle one, "BB" code and chose the 2nd where it says "image" If you copy that line and paste to your post, the image will show here. |

Welcome to the forum - - he and that spread really set each other off well, nice picture! I don't mind at all you changed it up for me, thank you! I will be posting more pictures as well. I have one from the first week i brought him home that is my favorite of all time. He is the sweetest dog ever. Literally never growls at anybody as long as they don't mess with his mouth or try to hurt him. He LOVES giving hugs and kisses to everybody he meets, no matter what. I got super lucky with him and i cherish every second I have him, even if he leaves me broke! |

| Welcome to the forum. My husband grew up around Phoenix (Chino Valley). These dogs don't understand the concept of rest and taking it easy. _________________ |

No, no they do not! I'm worried about when summer hits and i'll have to buy him the "shoes" so i can still walk him for potty breaks and such during the day. He barely tolerates the leash or collar! hahaha. |

Thank you! He is doing well currently. He's putting full weight on the leg for about a week now, and no longer "bunny hops" when he tries to go faster than i allow him. His knee is good and tight and not all loosy goosy like it was when he injured himself. I have been giving him glucosamine daily to help with his injured leg, and help his other leg to not become injured as well! It was recommended I wait another 3 weeks or so (making it 7 weeks recovery time total) before letting him play with other dogs at doggy daycare or dog parks or hiking again, just to ensure the knee has healed completely. He has been a trooper through all this, i'm the one who is losing his mind from stressing over keeping him calm and healing! hahaha. |

| topher, while I live in the desert, it's all dirt, sand and gravel. I've never even considered booties since my pups have never indicated a problem with the hot sand. If I were in the city where the walking would be on concrete or (worse!) blacktop I'd probably give it a consideration.
I think my first thought would be to go with a foot balm ( Musher's Secret ?? ) before I'd consider boots. Some here do use them and should chime in ... _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Ya, i live in a city so it's more concrete/pavement. If i could get away with just grass or dirt/sand/gravel i wouldn't worry about it. However, with Phoenix getting upwards of 120 Farenheit in the middle of summer, i'd just prefer to not take any chances in regards to my pups feet and health/safety |

| With those temps, I'd go with the booties, too. |

| And yes, he has free access to water as much as he wants. In the summer when i'm at work I have to turn the A/C down as i can't afford those electricity price hikes, but i have a separate fan i keep on him while he's snoozing in his crate during the day. He truly is spoiled and lives a better life than I do |
