So my Koda is going to be ten months on the second. He's been perfectly normal until about a week ago when he suddenly stopped eating readily. Now he will eat, but not immediately and sometimes he will only accept food once a day. He also seems to be having problems pooping, either it is because of his unsteady eating habits or something else, but he seems reluctant or unable to poop for most of the day. There is no blood or worms in his stool, and he does not drag his butt or lick it except after he finishes pooping. When it comes to food he will eat pieces of meat, chicken and I recently got some wet dog food and he scarfes it down, but this doesn't seem to be making his pooping habits any more regular. I'm always with the questions. How many times a day do you fee him? Is he on a schedule or do you free feed? When he does poop, does it look normal - color and quantity?

Some <most?> huskies will occasionally take a break from their normal schedule, but that's usually for a couple of days, don't ask "Why?" is just a husky thing. If you have him on kibble and I think you do from your message, you don't want to treat your way into getting him eating because these dogs are smart enough to realize that "If I don't eat *that* then I'll get the good stuff." and you've got a finicky eater on your hands. Oh, as I'm about done, what are you feeding him - brand, quantity and how often, please.

I feed him twice a day l, servings at 1.5 to two cups each. He eats on a rigid schedule at 8AM and 5PM. Before he would eat his food in about ten minutes and I never had any issue, I also feed him pedigree. As for his poop it's usually very small, but normal color and consistency. About twice this week is has been a little runny but never actual diharrea and a couple other times it has been compact and dark. And yes I do use kibble, since he's stopped eating I've been micxing chicken beef and or wet dog food in his food though because that helps him eat

Don't know if this helps, but I noticed that if we got off on his exercise (like he wasn't getting enough) that Zhukov wouldn't eat as much. He would leave food in his bowl usually at night, and would only eat it all right before bedtime, probably because he didn't want to leave it out of his crate.

He does poop when I take him out to exercise, sometimes that's the only poop he'll have all day, which is weird because I know older dogs poop less but he went from pooping 3-4 times a day to twice maybe once ion an instant. And as for food, Koda seems a little like the opposite and that he'll be hungry after a work out. When he stopped eating I originally did not worry about it because he stopped eating the day I left for a trip (my parents messaged me informing me he was not eating his food) and I assumed it was because separation anxiety, but when I got back he did not go back to eating regularly.

Hey Carlos, sounds like my girl when she was that age. Do you live in the US? sorry for asking, but I do not want to recommend something that may not be available to you. My girl hated food that had grain in it, and well pedigree has grain, she ate only when she was super hungry, and would obviously take meat over the kibble I was feeding. When I switched to grain free, she was not nearly as finicky about eating. Also, I will mention he is maturing, he probably doesn't need that much food. I offer food twice a day, but some dogs just want to eat once a day, my girl is way over breed standard at around 70 pounds and eats maybe 2 cups of kibble a day, normally 1-1.5 cups, so backing off some is fine, they know how much they need, especially the picky ones. Lastly, imho, a healthy dog will poop 1-2 times a day, 3 if you use a lot of treats, over ate, or ate something rich. So unless he is straining to poop, or has runny poop, I wouldn't worry so much about frequency, he is entering adulthood and typically poop less, eat less.

Okay! Thanks for the help, and yeah I don't like Pedigree very much, I happened to buy a bigger bag of Pedigree a while back because it was on sale and thus cheaper. When it came time to buy another bag i just stuck with this brand. He never really seemed to like it much but he always scarfed it down. I used to feed him Blue Wilderness and he loved it, although it was very expensive. I now have about half of a 50 pound bag my boy will barely touch but what i think im gonna do is just keep mixing the kibble with other things until its empty then switch back to Blue and feed him a kibble/wet dog food mix.

I notice my Husky had a long string of discharge coming out of her vagina. Is this normal? I am freaking out. She is 7 weeks old. Any advice about it??

Sorry, I read this earlier and something didn't click ... if you have a seven week old puppy at home and you see something strange - and this is strange - you need to take the puppy to the vet NOW!
Puppies that young tend to be fragile, if something isn't right with their health they can, as the expression goes, "go south" quickly.

Well it has only happened one time, and she is acting fine. No other symptoms!
