| Sorry we dropped off the face of the earth for a few months - with a 7 year old boy, 5 year old girl, Husky and pit bull, and homeschooling - we tend to be very busy!!! I realized i never started a scrapbook for Kenai, so here are some pics I gathered since we got him! He is just an amazing boy, and we love him so much! The initial shot we saw in the Craigslist ad: Kenai pics by Christopher Purdy, on Flickr |

| We had one escape that I wrote about in the very beginning but I added a 7 foot high front on the dog pen and thats not an issue anymore... We also designated that my son Izak takes him out in the morning and sits guard outside to make sure he doesn't dig / jump... This had worked out perfectly and we have had no more issues. | He was a little stand-off-ish for the first month or so... still sweet, but wouldn't choose to sleep right near us.... But over the summer, that started to change.. Kenai pics by Christopher Purdy, on Flickr Kenai pics by Christopher Purdy, on Flickr |

| You've got some great pics here and I had to go look at your Flickr account as well, now going to have to go see if I can find what game that is, I'm bored for the moment - love the Beretta's but also have to hope that they and the kids are apart from each other!
(( Never mind ... but that's an excellent rifle (M1 carbine?) to learn with. One of my favourites!! Also, not sure what the rifle is he's firing in the short vid, but good job dad! ))
(( ETA 2: Found the game but after looking at the price and the reviews ... I don't think so! )) _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| LOL!!! I've been flickr stalked!! As to the firearms / kids topic - proper training from the earliest age, that's been my mantra. I quiz them on the rules of gun safety often... but thank you for the reminder as we are probably due to go over it again as its been a few weeks. I have my CPL and carry daily, and we have the rule that if they want to see / handle one of the guns all they have to do is ask and I will happily go over it with them safely. As to the rifle Izak (He is 7) is shooting - its a Smith and Wesson M&P15 AR15 with a red dot sight. I was holding it just out of frame as he isn't quite able to handle it by himself yet. He was so excited as the range master was giving him pointers too and he got the "most improved shooter" for the day and a free range pass. The other rifle is a Springfield M1a (Civilian version of the M14 - offspring of the M1 Garand).. He's way too little for that one as it kicks like a mule. But in a few years... As to the game (No Man's Sky) - its a blast, but don't believe the reviews.... problem is, people wanted to be able to battle each other in the game, and its not set up for that - its more of a chilled out exploration game... so people got mad.. They just released some new patches for the game that added a lot of cool functionality (Planet rovers, Base building) - so its very cool! As to price - I think its been on sale recently for as cheap as $20... Back on to the puppies - thanks for the comments - I absolutely love this big guy!! He is turning into a total snuggle bear! I'll try to make sure I take more pics to keep this scrapbook updated! |
