2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

So I was going to go get Koda CGC certified today. I arrive at the place, and oh my goodness-- what the eff!? It's a huge building- there is a bunch of outdoor catches on one side, the other side has a bunch of dogs in really small cages, and then the back portion is a boarding area with groomer-style cages. FILLED with dogs who are crying, barking, thrashing in their cage, trying to go at people/other dogs through their cage door(aggressive dogs there to be trained) and then the CGC testing area is set up int he middle of it all. My jaw dropped! Then there is just a big I figured OK, they must have a room somewhere secluded.. nope! Koda was freaking out and kept tugging towards the door. I got up and he dragged me to it! I have NEVER had him pull me to a door and he never, ever pulls me in general! He is very well behaved!

And then I talk to my coworker and they got Partners? Remember we got told how they had their AC go out and 18 dogs died in the summer from the heat? And then she told me others bad things about it! Oh my lord, I feel so stupid! Going to find a new place and thoroughly investigate it! Koda is so stressed out still Sad

Wow that's insane! I can't even believe they would have testing in a place like that... Hopefully you guys can find a better place soon...

holy s@$t!
i'm glad you left!

you could always just get Koda tested when you're here. i know a trainer that does CGC testing. she uses a day care facility in Denver, but she does all her stuff after all the dogs leave and/or are in their kennels for the night so she has the indoor play areas to herself. or maybe she does testing somewhere else, but it couldn't be no where near like that place you went to. her test is $25.

OMG - I could have written the same sort of post after our first "class" with the Dog Nazi. Crying or Very sad

I'm glad you left. There are a BUNCH of qualified AKC CGC Evaluators here in Denver (admittedly, the Dog Nazi is also an evaluator, but you couldn't PAY ME to return to her "house of pain" facility). Anyway, ditto Claudia - there are others. Don't worry about having to leave that facility. Koda will pass with flying colors in the right place.
