I'm looking for a new harness for a reasonable price for my puppy Yuka.
Right now he is wearing the one on the picture below and i noticed that after walking for a few minuts he starts to limp a little like he's uncomfortable which stops as soon as i take the harness off. I made the harness fit pretty lose when i noticed it a couple of days ago but due to the shape it tightens on the shoulders where the rings are when he pulls little and it doesnt stay straight either so my best guess is that it's the harness causing it and that i need to get one that is more comfortable.

So my question is what shape of harness is the most comfortable and also not to expencive as he will grow out of it ?

Most around here have Ruffwear harnesses. Depends on what you consider expensive as to if they fall in your price range. Puppies are just hard to buy for with how much they grow and I'm not sure just how much growth space are in Ruffwear harnesses. I have a weiss walkie, which is a synch leash. Clips to his normal collar, loops under his chest and slides through a ring to hold it in place. It makes to any size so would grow with him but as he pulls it will get tighter so they can never get excited and back out of it like they can with the cheaper leg sweep style harnesses. Many of the Ruffwear harnesses have a belly band and more thicker straps so they don't cut in like some. At the end of the day though fitment is everything and being too loose can cause you issues. A harness that rubs and won't stay in place is much like a shoe that slides around on your foot just enough you get a blister on your heel.

I use a cheap, simple H style harness that you can get at any pet store for daily walks. Mind you, it is a plain harness that does not do anything special such as discourage pulling if that is something you need. But it is super comfortable, doesn't place unnecessary pressure on any part of the body and is not even remotely expensive.

You didn't mention what your harness is for...or what you expect from your harness such as for working a certain way. If it's just for simple walks I don't think one needs to go as far as purchasing an expensive Ruffwear harness. Yes, I consider Ruffwear harnesses expensive. And yes, I do also own a number of Ruffwear products, harnesses included. But for simple walks, if that's what you're using it for, I wouldn't go for something that expensive. Just my

It's mostly the shape thats most comfortable that i am looking for, i don't really have a budged in mind but i don't want to spend to much money on a harness he will grow out of in a short time. It's just for walks and he doesn't pull much besides when he sees a bird or when humans come close and thinks they want to pet him, which i'm still trying to teach him not do that but the humans are not being very helpfull ...

The ruffwear harness might be a good idea though if it grows with him, then i wouldn't mind paying more for a harness. Guess ill take Yuka with me to the pet store today and have a look for the ruffwear and the H style harnesses.

I had the same problem with Zhukov initially. However, I got another harness, with the same configuration except the clip for the leash is on his chest. It really helps with the pulling issue, and seems to be more comfortable for him on his walks.

Just returned from the petstore, tried on a few different ones and ended up buying one of these on the picture.
On the tightest possible configuration it fits like a glove so it will last a while, but most importantly is that it looks very comfortable with the padding, how it fits around his body and that most force is on the front part of the harness which is great for when he pulls. Went for a walk and he didnt limp

When he is close to done growing i have really loved the front range harness from RW for our daily walks and weekend getaways that is not hiking.

I think we have had ours for 2 yrs now and they are holding up really well!
Sierra wears a small at 46lbs, Jack has a Med at 65lbs.

Thank you . They do look really nice and comfy, not sure at how many months a husky is close to the adult size, but will be getting a new harness then and will most likely be that one from ruffwear or similar.
