| I'm looking for the best teething toys for my 9 week old puppy, he's hit a major bite phase to help, and I've been redirecting but not much keeps his focus besides his cow hoof and frozen rope toy. I'm getting him nylabone, but any other favorites I can add for variety would be great. He loves the frozen one because it's cold, do toys I can freeze would be great |

| As I mentioned in you other thread, I gave some suggestions, a couple others are elk or moose antlers, they are softer than deer and hooves. I have always gone with natural routes for teething since they like to eat what they gnaw on, however I also bought this https://www.jefferspet.com/products/8-jolly-bone-blue?sku=H7DB you might find jolly items like that at a pet store. In pet stores often times they have a puppy section and look at the item many will say if you can freeze or not, think one company, may be nylabone, that has a teething ring that you can freeze. |

| The only thing that helped Luka was throwing kongs and nylabones in the freezer. Antlers like Renee said are great too.
If he won't shred it, you could try to throw a damp washcloth in the freezer-the other husky lady in our neighborhood did that with all of her pups over the last 15-20 years (supervised only). |

| Personally not a huge fan of nylabones because they aren't edible and they tend to break off in little pieces and get sharp, but if your puppy isn't a serious chewer they shouldn't be an issue (benebones are also great as far as non edible chews go). My pup LOVES bully sticks. They smell terrible, but they're digestible. Also elk antlers, bully horns, and hooves are all good options! |

| I was going to comment about the NylaBones. I've had them as chew toys for most of my dogs but at one time I ran into one that broke apart as the dog chewed on it. I do like the original NylaBone - they're unflavoured and rather than breaking up they tend to splinter (probably not the best description). The little rough edges help keep teeth clean even though feel sharp they haven't caused any bleeding. Sky has picked up one that Avalanche worked on for a while.... that's one of the things I *do* like about them, they don't spoil or splinter like a real bone will.
Footnote: I always buy them oversize nylabones ... bigger than the package recommends, no possibility of swallowing. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| That's a good point, we only buy the softer rubber-y nylabones, I tend to forget they have the hard solid ones. They're similar to the kongs, so they don't get too destroyed and they hold up in the freezer. |
