Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi everyone. I'm Cardin and my buddy here is Kloud. I am 25 years old while Kloud is only 8 months old.
I have grown to love him over the 6 month that i have gotten him. He is very friendly and loving but loves to chew through his potty pad and toys like candy. I swear he knows it annoys me when he chew through his potty pad so he does it for fun. haha I am a first time Husky owner so i will be having a lot of question so thank you in advances for the reply. LoL Anyways, here's a few picture of him.

Welcome to the forum. He is beautiful. Potty pads...they can be a pain. Many dogs have a hard time potty training to go outside when they have been allowed to use potty pads and you definitely don't want him chewing on them. All the more reason to get away from their use. A wad of potty pad can cause a blockage that can cost you a lot more than just money. Huskies are a challenge to raise but they are a lot of fun too.

My husband and I bought a three month old Husky. We live in the woods, so we had so many leaves fall in the autumn that we thought it would be a good idea to help the puppy to know where to " go " on a regular basis. It worked really well --AT HOME!! Our children live in various parts of the country. Our--now grown Husky-- was so accustomed to doing his " business " in a pile of leaves that he didn't know he should do it anywhere else!!! We stopped at a rest stop and we had to search for enough leaves to show him that it was okay for him to "go"!!! He soon learned that it was okay for him to relieve himself -- but only when his bladder was about to burst! We praised the bejabbers out of him, praised him, and gave him a few treats. We repeated this every time we had to stop at a rest stop. He soon learned that on " foreign soil " it was okay for him to relieve himself -- even without leaves!!
