Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Lady on RescueMe (Rescue Me ID #16-07-08-00506) - Quote :
- My brother is currently going through a divorce. Lady got out of her yard just a day ago and is now in the pound and close to be euthanized. My brother has no place to keep her right now and she needs a home. Lady is very loveable, she has been chained up most of her life but is very playful and loves attention.
I shouldn't let these get to me but it's this type of 'accident' that really pisses me off. Anyone up in the southern panhandle who can help this girl out. What really irritates me is "she got out of her yard" and he "has no place to keep her" - well, who's yard was she in??? _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Well, I'm 150 miles closer (450 to your 600) but that and a $200 rescue fee put her out of my ball park. I'm hoping Renee can find some help for her.
I've wondered before since we both claim to be from "South Texas" which of us was further south - you are by quite a bit, I'm almost straight west (as the buzzard flies) of Yokum which is 120 miles due north of you. South east Texas (CC, Brownsville, etc) are a lot more 'moist' than I am here and I'm not trading my dry heat for your muggy heat anytime soon (or at all!) _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

Oh god, the humidity here is horrid, haha, just stepping outside makes me feel "sticky". My boyfriend and I plan on moving to Maine when I finish my degree and hopefully before my son starts kindergarten. (I lived in CT till I was 13 and miss the cold!) |

| Oh this is Terrible Al, I am closest at 310 miles. Grrr, people make me mad. seen the ad, and was mad at that one and the next....calling a girl a senior at 8 years old, this is correct, but lists her as still breedable Yikes! Sadly Lady is too far for me, and the funds just aint there as well. Sadly my local Humane society will not travel that far, I know the husky and sled dog rescues are too far as well, although Al you may know of any contacts at the husky rescue or that area? I know you used to live near Houston. Timing is just not there, my contacts, my gsd breeder is out of town, he does alot of rescues as well. Hmmmmm, I feel terrible, but at the moment can not think of anyone else who can help this girl, ugh...... |

| Now - a real reply Our new neighbors tell us the old neighbors just left one of their dogs. The dog came in the house and started growling at the new owners...they had to call the BIL to come get the dog. My fear is they just dumped him some place else. Totally disgusting. Sorry, Al... he wanted to learn how to use the computer - asked him what he wanted and he said "I want to see the emojis..." then he wanted to print them. Didn't know how to do that without sending the post to get them. |
