Just picked up Ahri yesterday, and its been a fun night haha. She really loves howling at 3am, or whenever I'm not in the room sitting next to her. I was expecting her first few nights to be something like this, so not too much of a surprise yet. I ended up sleeping on the floor near her crate to stop her from howling and crying and so I could let her out every 2 hours. No accidents in the house yet!
These 2 are when we first visited her at 4.5 Weeks
Here she is when we first got her home yesterday, she found a corner to sit in and was pretty scared still after the hour long car ride home.
She's gotten a bit better, and came out to explore.
And now she's finished exploring and having dinner, and she fell asleep right next to the bowl haha.

she is adorable. She has such an interesting color hue. The nights will get better. You may have better luck also if you move her crate to your bedroom. Be easier on your sleeping habits and it's going to be a while before she doesn't need to go out a lot so moving her to your room at night will probably help you from going crazy. I doubt you want to sleep on the floor for the next few months.

I'll probably have to move her into my bedroom for a while, I was putting it off because my room is carpetted, so I was hoping to wait til she was potty trained, or at least a little bit more used to the place.
I'm trying to get her used to walking around with a leash, she has no problems with the collar, but she's still pretty shy around me, so she tries to hide in the corners a lot when I'm around. When I attach the leash to her collar, or try on a harness she'll just lay down and stop moving, or try to run into the nearest corner. I'm on the 18th floor of a condo, so potty training is a bit tough, I can't take her outside to the park next to our condo without a leash on, so I've been taking her out to the balcony (solid barrier on the balcony, so no worries about her falling) where I put one of those grass pads down for her to use.
On a positive, crate training her seems to be working out well so far. She hasn't had any problems with the crate and will go into it on her own sometimes.

Ahri is beautiful! Can't wait to see her slowly get more used to being with you. She is definitely comfy on her red pad in the crate

She discovered the squeekers inside her toys, so its been a noisy morning.
She's also found her new favourite napping spot under the coffee table
She still just lays down or walks to a corner whenever I attach her leash, so leash training still needs some work before I can walk her
She just got a new ball to play with

Too cute! I love watching Huskies play with the ball. They toss the ball for themselves and run around like lunatics. Zhukov won't rest until he gets the squeaker out of the toys.
They DO grow quickly, take as many pics as you can!

She's finally had her shots and the OK from the vet to go out to parks with other dogs, so I took her out to her first group dog walk to introduce her to some other dogs.
She was well behaved for the first 10 minutes since there were a lot of bigger dogs, but after that she was running and jumping all over the place trying to play with some of the smaller ones in the group.

It's been a while, so I've got a few weeks worth of growing up pics of her now.
Snow is finally gone so she gets to roll around on the grass
Her first camping trip, investigating the tent
Seems to approve
"Is that for me?"
On a hike by the lake
Diggin holes on a beach
Just got her a Ruffwear Pallisades pack and having some practice runs with it at the park so she'll be ready for some backpacking in the future when she's grown up.

She is adorable and growing like a weed. On the pack. It is hard on joints to do any weight until they are a year old. I hope your pack still fits when she is grown. Usually buying while they are still a pup is dangerous business.

Yeah, she's just wearing it empty for now with no weight in it to get used to the feeling of having it. Although I may add some small ice packs in it on hot days to help cool her down a bit. As for sizing, the pack should be good for up to 70lbs, and I don't think she'll outgrow it. She's got it on the smallest setting right now with quite a bit of room for growth... Hopefully.
