| URGHHHHHH
Have you had people come up to you and say your dog is SO SMALL compared to others they've seen?
My pup's a Samoyed (similar in standard to Huskies, but white and long coat), and it amazes how many people come up and go "Oh, she's a runt! They're supposed to be huge!"
She's 40 lbs! She's completely within breed standard. Where are these giant dogs they see?
Do you guys get this a lot with huskies? I know a lot of people assume Malamutes are the same and get confused |

| Kat personally, I think most people are not used to breed standard dogs in general. Same can be said for gsd's, breed standard is just a tad more than a husky. So I get that with my pure bred gsd. My husky on the other hand, she's huge and most people don't believe me that she is indeed mostly husky, most common comment on her, she's a wolf, lol. People are ignorant, I just try to smile, explain what they are supposed to be size wise and move on, smh. |

| Haha, I actually get this about my dog a lot. I think people expect Cloud to be some kind of giant and be horse sized. Albeit he is a bit smaller but not by much and hes fattening up (finally). I always sort of feel like people might think hes smaller because hes not wooly and they expect him to have crazy long fur. |

| We get this all the time with Gabby. Albeit, she is small but just at the edge of breed standard and very lean looking (35lbs). She is 2 years old and everyone always thinks she is only like 6 months old or mixed with something. I have to educate people all the time that Huskies are not large breed dogs and most dogs they see are out of breed standard. Also, most huskies I see around here are overweight and with Gabby being as lean as she is makes her look small in comparison. |

| Oh gosh, we get that ALL the time with our Mia. "Is she still a puppy?" "When will she be full grown?" "Is she sick...?" Mia's above breed standard in size, too (I believe)-56 lbs now (she's a bit chubby right now-she sprained her knee two months ago and wasn't allowed walkies so she gained a good 5 lbs -.-) Seriously though, if it's not the wolf question, its the size question... |

| We started taking Mako to the dog park (wooo finally over the 4 month mark!) and people constantly say our dogs are tiny. There is another 4 month old husky puppy that goes to the park that is double Mako's size. The owner got him from an Amish "breeder" in PA that specializes in "giant huskies". He loves to tell everyone that his is a "real" husky. |

Currently there is an 8 month old husky at my dog park that is probably twice the size/weight of Gabby... The owner is very quiet though and just kind of sits off to the side so I don't know any details about where his dog came from. |

Seriously though, if it's not the wolf question, its the size question... Hahaha, this is exactly how it is when I have Mishka out...exactly. One added question is " how old is your puppy?" Along with "is she going to grow any more?" |

| Whelp...no one has said that about my "puppy" He IS a horse at just over 70# And, yes, I get the wolf question. Don't mind that, though, when its the deer asking the question As much as Ami is perfect for me (I don't have to bend down to scratch his ears, easy on my back...and he is sturdy enough for me to use him to get up from kneeling.) but....yes, yes I do, sometimes, wish he were breed standard. Both for coat and size. JUst don't tell him I said that |

| When people ask how much Klaus weighs and I tell them about 58lbs they're always amazed. He looks like he weighs a lot more because of the fur. Or when I tell them technically huskies are a medium sized breed. |

| I get this a lot with Artemis. People comment about how small she is, and I have to tell them she isn't a year old. Puppies tend to be smaller than adult dogs. I also get a lot of questions about her breed. People think she is a black GSD or a wolf. It can be a little annoying, especially when I just want to finish our walk before its dark or before it gets unbearably hot. |

| I know!!! Evidently, people where I live think that they can only be black and white. I ran into someone with a gray one the other day at the walking track and we had this same conversation. People think theirs is a wolf or a GSD mix. |
