| So a few months back we found a small raised lump on the left back leg of Sierra, opposite of the last 2 cancer masses. I figured it was just a skin tag, or a mole or something not to much to worry about as it was on top of the skin, not under the skin like her others. In fact i found something like this on Jacks inner hind leg, but at the same time they were different, Jacks was skin color and mole looking, Sierra's was always red, like a pimple of some kind that would not pop, we tried. We went to the vet last Thursday (shots and check ups) and had her look at both their lumps, per Sierra's other issues she took samples of hers and did Jacks as well for us. His came back normal as i figured, Sierra on the other hand, hers was filled with blood, infection, and "other". The vet advised it would be best to remove and test. So Sierra goes in for surgery again tomorrow morning, to have the small nodule on her left leg removed. She will be put under a "awake" sedation so not fully under like before. I am still stressing because she is my baby and well its SURGERY! if you all can think good things for her it would be great, her last cancer mass was removed in Oct, 2014. I will update this as we go through the stages of recovery again _________________

| my vet is the best! she was able to remove the lump with just a local, so she did not need to be put under! Sierra is all done and ready for pick up. Ken does not work till tonight so he will be home with her today. Now we just wait for the result of the sample, could be up to 2 weeks. _________________ |

| Hopefully the results will come back much faster and be as neat and easy as the procedure was. Glad it didn't turn into any major kind of surgery. _________________ |

| That's great that she didn't need to be put under, it's always a niggling concern even though things *normally* go right. There's that one chance in <who knows> that they simply won't wake up. You do undoubtedly have a good vet that she was able to get it out quickly. Praying that it's benign! _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Sierra is doing great, i think not putting her under made all the difference, she is acting like nothing happened to her. I did walk in the door last night to her greeting me WITH OUT her cone on! found it over by the kitchen table and Jacks crate! we have just kept it off, she is not bothering the area at all. She goes in next sat to have the stitches removed. Here is a picture of her incision from last night. bad pic but they got a bully stick treat last night _________________ |

| Your vet did nice work on those stitches. Am so very glad she did not have to be put under...Archer did NOT do well coming out of the deep sedation for the foreign body in his eye. We were really worried - high heart rate. Vet gave us her home phone to call if it did not come down.
Has anybody ever told you what beautiful, sweet eyes Sierra has? Just melts my heart. |

| Got the call from the Vet. Sierra had a Plasmacytoma and its benign! Down side is we should go back in and take a better margin on the area now that we know what it was. Don't know if we should just take care of it now, or wait to see if it comes back... Anyone have any experience with this? My gut says to take care of it now and not wait.
Thank you all for the support! _________________ |

| the spot's already shaved. I'd get it over with so she only has to deal with a draft once. Glad it's nothing cancerous. _________________ |
