| Omg, the "saying goodbye" pic made my eyes tear up! Some really great pictures, two buddies napping, and two buddies are just too cute, seriously! But yeah, couple of pics with your son made my eyes tear up. How is Zhukov handling your son being gone now? You know you gotta get pics and/or vids of the times your son comes home for his short visits on school breaks, they are going to be two of the happiest dogs ever! Lol. |

| Jimmy, it is so weird watching Zhukov and Colby. I have read that dogs live in the moment and that they don't "miss" their human pack members, but I think that is a load of bull. Zhukov will walk around the house like he is looking for my son. Colby sits by the door like he is waiting on something. My son has a loud stereo in his truck, and you could hear him coming down the street, so when they hear that bass pumping they both run to the door and both of them watch the car as it passes by. They then just lay down by the door like they are saying "That dummy passed the house..." I can't wait to see how they react when he comes home for Thanksgiving!
You want to know the weirdest thing? Zhukov has NEVER been cuddly with my wife. Now, when she gets teary eyed at night, he hops up on the bed with her and lays down next to her while she watches tv or texts Joe. If she is crying, he will get all huddled up next to her and let her hug him. Dogs are the best! |

| My father told me the thing about dogs living in the moment when Malukhai passed away. He explained it all to me when I mentioned that I *had* to get Anuschka another husky puppy. Based on what he told me, and then knowing my own experiences with my dogs missing people, and my other dogs when they passed away, I don't believe any part of the living in the moment theory, I just have too many stories that contradict it. And why I had a deposit down on another puppy before Anuschka passed away two weeks later. So anyways, yeah, I totally believe your two are missing your son right now ...it sucks but your son comes back! and those will be some great reunion moments!!! Just like with your wife, Zhukov is totally sensing her sadness, I think it's awesome Zhukov has stepped up to make her feel better! And no doubt it's working huskies are awesome that way. |

| the "saying goodbye" pic made my eyes tear up too. it sounds like they miss your son very much, but when he come back for a visit its going to be one crazy wet doggie kiss you have ever seen. he is amazing that he senses your upset and want to make your happy an feel better. they are super cute taking a nap together. |

| The wishing for more leaves to play with pic is one of the prettiest husky pics I've seen, it's a great pic! And a caption for it would probably have to do with a husky...and a shovel...like which is the best for digging? Hahaha |

| Mark, enjoyable pictures - they all look like they're having so much fun. I might too, if I had the clothes for it but my 'snow clothes' have long gone into the rag bag ... just don't have much use for them but the past couple of days I sure would have liked to have something heavier than a hoodie! | That is some fluffy snow! It looks awesome!!! "Paratrooper" pic made me smile, lol, nice shot. My favorites are the last two pics though, you captured him really well there, just so pretty. How does Colby do in the snow/cold? He looks like he holds his own pretty good!!! |
