We've had Luna for several months now, but I never got around to posting a lot of pictures of her anywhere.

She was named after Gen. Antonio Luna, a Philippine national hero. We got her during a time when Heneral Luna (2015), a biopic of his life was hitting it big in local cinemas, so the name functions as a time marker as much as an inspiration for her to grow big and strong. We also chose the name because it also means moon, and she's a pure white (wooly) husky.

I thought of starting a scrapbook here because I am not the type to post photos in so many social media sites (I am pretty wary of becoming that crazy dog lady Facebook friend who posts a hundred doggy photos every other minute). Still, I wanted to be able to share photos of my girl, and I thought a forum of  people who don't mind looking at tons of husky pictures would be the right place

So here goes.

These pictures are from when she was 14 to 20 weeks old.





She has developed a habit of half-hoisting herself up on chairs. I don't know why, but we find it adorable.



Usually, we walk her in the afternoons or the evenings to save her from the height of the tropical heat. After a hard day, I need the walk as much as she does.



She loves the open field, of course.

She is beautiful. Looks like she has really dark eyes. Neat story behind her name.

Beautiful pictures, Luna is gorgeous! I'm very familiar with the half hoisting onto chairs, and beds, and benches, lol, my Mishka does it and my last boy Malukhai did it, and like you, I do find it adorable as well. The night time pic of her laying in the grass is very cool!

I love the second and third pic, and the open field. The 3rd pic, black and white, I love black and white's , makes Luna stand out even more. she is a gorgeous husky!! We love pics here, so thank you for deciding to share your pics here.

The hoisting is crazy cute. Best is when they do it on your lap when you're just a little too hard at work and they just kind of hang out there.

Luna is delightfully cute!

Archer does the half hoisting thing, too, but its always into our lap!  He still thinks he's a 4 mo old pup and not the 65# dog that he his.  When he plonks himself into my mid-section, it's like being cuddled with a cement truck!

Like the history of Luna's name.  My DIL is half Filipino.

Hahaha! Looks like I'll have to ready myself for that, Amy! Though so far it doesn't look like she'll grow too large

Hello everyone,

I haven't updated this in a while, so I thought I'd share a quick, recent video of Luna. This is just of her running about an open field; we were having fun testing out the DJI Osmo camera and trying to run backwards in front of her (hence the relatively bouncy shots in spite of the Osmo's AMAZING stabilizer). But she can get pretty fast when she sprints, as huskies are wont to do, so she zips right past us most of the time.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but is anyone else having problems with FireFox and videos here?? If you've had a problem do you have a solution. I hate having to bring up another browser to watch videos.

Al, I use firefox too, and as long as a video is uploaded to youtube I have no issue watching videos, it is only videos from other places I can't. You should be able to click the screen of the video, and click temp allow, it may ask in 2 different spots, and click allow now. Hope that helps.

Thank you, Jessica! It's one of the few spots of green left in the city, an area in the University where I teach. We do keep her on a (long) leash though because this hilly spot is actually surrounded by roads on three sides

Aaan here she is with dust streaking her nose (playing masked husky, we like to tease her). Hahaha!

Even more than the husky bow, I love when huskies lay in that little ball, that is a great pic Loujaye that air balloon shot is just gorgeous!!! All the colors, the two smiling faces that is a frame worthy pic right there. I have to smile at the 3rd pic, reminds me so much of my Mishka, lol, must be a husky girl thing to have the "evidence" right on their face that their face was probably somewhere it shouldn't have been, hahaha.
