| looks like fun, cant wait to try it with Leo. I'm just not sure at what age to order a x-back harness for him, so he doesn't grow out of it.

I'd wait until he is fully grown, however, the custom-sized Alpine Outfitters X-back harnesses only cost $23 (link below), so they're not too expensive if you wanted to get one now and buy another down the road. Just make sure he is old enough (growth plates sealed) and ready to run and pull. It's a ton of fun! http://alpineoutfitters.net/scripts/prodview.asp?idProduct=17 |

http://alpineoutfitters.net/scripts/prodview.asp?idProduct=17 This is exactly what we did. We got an Alpine custom X-back for Layla at 1 year, but we will need to get another one for her now that she is fully grown. I just attended a mushing seminar a couple weeks ago, and they helped us check the fit on our harnesses. Expect that you will need to get another one after one year when your dog fully fills out, around age two. The harness should fit well to avoid injury or stress on certain areas of the dog's body over time. Love the video! Talk about "urban" mushing! How are the dogs with "on by"? I only ask because I saw you came up to some people on the path. Also, what kind of camera do you use? There were some bumpy parts but overall the footage was a lot smoother than I've gotten myself or have seen from other recreational mushers. |

The dogs are okei with people who come up us on the path, even with other dogs walking by....my huskies just don't look at them almost at all(ofcourse happens anoter way also)...but mostly okei.. Camera I m using right now actually is my I Phone 4 S cam)))) So I just film on my phone you know, which is probably not the best way to do filming and stuff.I wanna buy sometime some other camera(can you maybe give advise on future camera to buy for me?.......I thought maybe GO PRO some new model.....with devices to put on a bike,or helmet and so on........ |

[/quote] Honestly, I also only use an iPhone (mine's a regular 6) for photos and video, and I haven't yet mastered how to get good video while on the bike. I'd want some sort of rig attached to the bike that would hold the phone or camera. To get great action shots I haven't found much better than a Go Pro. I don't have one myself but used to work in the video production industry, where Go Pros are commonly used for driving shots or other up-close action shots. There are stands you can buy that attach to different surfaces, though I'm not sure whether they make a bike attachment. |
