Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| My husky Rjúpa has been with me out in the blizzard for a full hour this morning, then a bicycle ride through said blizzard a half hour later. Then at noon we went out again and she got lost on me... again, in the blizzard ... found her, we went home, and STILL... she is just panting at the door. She pooped outside this morning, no diarrhea and she definitely did all her peeing just before we went in.
She's been out running and sniffing a total of 3 hours today. Why is she still just standing by the door, waiting for me? |

| How old is she? Could she be in heat if not already fixed? _________________ |

| You say you have a blizzard? When we have a storm, Ami seems to answer the call of the wild, so to speak...the wilder and woolier it is outside, the more he wants out there...raises his head into the wind and seems to be communing with ancient gods or something |

| That actually makes a lot of sense. My baby is usually so calm and all of a sudden she's like this crazy she wolf. Thanks for posting, makes me more calm Also, it's nice knowing that even though she is a useless sled dog, at least she has a wild side |

| Thomas, they are tricksters, haha. Miya kept wooing at me, I thought she had to go out and potty. Nope, she wanted to play in the iced over pond we have and run through the heavy frost. They are crazy when there's a nip in the air. Enjoy the fun. |

| When we had our first snow for the year about 2 weeks ago ours wanted out literally every 10 minutes. Definitely think she's just trying to enjoy the "nice" weather |

| Our 3.5 year old boy is very relaxed for a Husky. But as soon as a winter storm starts blowing in, he gets this look in his eye and always wants to be outside. It's definitely a northern breed thing. |
