| we get to set our clocks to a different time. So 7:00 magically becomes 6:00 (or 8:00 depending). It takes me a week or so to adjust my internal clock to the wall clock but I'm still trying to get Sasha to adjust hers! Avalanche doesn't care; if he's got food, he's fine (he's also fine if he doesn't have any).
Sasha is still fixated on her internal 7:00 PM feeding time - which is now 6:00 - so at 6:00 PM she starts asking for supper ... I've tried moving it back a little at a time but she's still wanting supper at (the old) 7:00 ...
How does everyone else handle this? Some of you work and feed your dogs when you get home - and with the time change they have also had to "make the change". _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Mine get a tough love sort of approach. They get fed when they get fed. It usually takes about a week or two but they usually make it eventually. I have never been super strict about their feeding times though. They get fed somewhere around noon (give or take an hour), then again around 9pm (give or take an hour). _________________ |

| The only thing I've adjusted is their evening walks, now that it's dark out when I walk them, I walk them earlier. Other than that everything has remained the same.
What's interesting about time changes and how they *may* stress our dogs. My last husky, Malukhai, and his seizuring disorder, I could expect like clockwork, a seizure to occur within a week of a time change. In fact his very last seizure when he passed away was following the time change in March/April, and since it happened so regularly with time changes, and stress can be a trigger of a seizure, my thinking is time changes may in fact stress our dogs, or atleast dogs that have a very "fixed" schedule. |

| I've always been a little loose on breakfast time, sometimes its 8ish-am or 9ish-am. On Sundays it has to be 7:30am. Its dinner that I've always been strict dinner though, its always been 6pm. So hmmmm this might explain Mylo's recent pawing at around 5:40-50, he's probably like hey you're late I'm hungry why you making me wait! And yeah now we have to take Mylo to the park at around 4 to 5. I do not like this time...its lame because it gets dark too fast. I never cared in the past but that changed now since Mylo. Anyway, we are considering taking him to the beach for the first time some time this month I already scheduled his next bath in Dec 11 so I wouldn't mind getting him real dirty haha |

| Ami noticed the time change but we are not really regular about feeding times. Basically, it's first thing when I get up... which can vary 2 hours or more and anytime between as early as 3 ish to as late as 7. The goal is 4 pm and, providing we are home and nothing else is going on, 4 it is. And that is the pre time change when he is is looking for his dinner. |

| Gabby could care less about when she gets fed. She is a very easy going dog when it comes to her schedule. Right now since my GF and I are in different states, We have joint custody i like to say. She can go from my schedule to her schedule without any fuss. Our 2 cats on the other had get really annoying with the time change. Normally they start whining 30 min to an hour before they eat. With the time change they start whining for food 1.5 to 2 hours before they get fed which is really annoying. We just do the tough love kind of thing. you get fed, when we feed you. |
