Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Ok, so I was thinking about putting a deposit for a puppy From My Siberian Husky Kennels(not allowed to put links yet) . But i'm scared their a backyard breeder or a puppy mill. So if you could give me your opinion or any other breeders Around Va that would be great. p.s this is my first forum post so if there's anything wrong with this post then tell me |

| I dunno...they seem to be breeding an awful lot and while they say health guarantee, their is no mention of OFA or eye certification. I would want more information. |

| Ditto Amy's comments ... add to that many of their breeding Husky's appear to be woollies which is not breed standard. Add to that the they aren't even aware that the Siberian Husky is a medium sized dog (they say it's a large dog) really raises some questions.
One thing I noticed is that they have three locations and don't explain what they are. If, for example, they were bred and raised in a home environment but sold through a company office, I could understand two locations (uh, not really) - but three, with the number of litters they seem to be having makes me think they're more of a "in for the money" business.
As I've done with other sites, I base a lot of my opinion on the quality of the web site itself. My logic is that if they really have the best interests of these dogs and the breed in general at heart, they are going to put together the best web site they can. With a little looking, their website is an organizational disaster - if their attempts at organization of a web site are representative of the organization of their breeding program then I'm aghast! If these folk are second generation then I would class their use of the English language as acceptable, if they're native English speakers - well, they need to go back to school.
While you probably didn't see it, they also have a page dedicated to the Nubian Goats they also sell ... this, to me, is tantamount to walking into a BMW dealership looking for a new car and the salesman casting an off hand comment about the Ford's they also sell. What is it they're trying to sell?
In summary, they show an amazing lack of professionalism and if I were considering buying a dog from them - well, I wouldn't. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |
