| We got in a great fall hike this past Sat. Took Meredith and her 2 up 2 peaks, Ken also joined us. Time was not 2 bad, 7hrs45min, 8.2miles RT and 2,957ft of elevation gain. We drove up the Breckenridge ski resort to the peak 9 restaurant and parked at the top of the ski lift and started there. true 4 wheel rides and trucks can make it much farther up the road then our rides. here is our track https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zg-snrdqJx-c.ky5gPTcdnmTY&usp=sharing Once we started we were quickly met by a giant moose on the road, kind of cool, lucky he ran off though and did not want to put up a fight, to fast to get a pic. we made good time on the 4X4 road up to the saddle between 9&10, thats where my pics start. looking up to peak 9 Ken and Mer making their way up happy huskies looking over to peak 10, you can see the road to the left that we would take up Mer on the summit of 9 i think posting to FB! our family summit 9 pic fall colors from 13,195ft Denali and Ghost on the summit Jack back on the snow Sierra on the snow making our way to the saddle much more snow Ghost Ken and Jack with peak 9 in the back on our way up to peak 10 pretty much where the 4X4 road ends on peak 10 looking over to crystal lake and peak on the right, did that a few yrs back, on this thread somewhere Goats on Peak 10, had to wait for them to summit before we did Sierra heading up to peak 10 my lucky shot of the day Peak 10 family summit Mer with her summit 10 drink me on peak 10 summit with 9 in the back ground Denali on the summit Sierra and I on peak 10 summit Sierra's action shot Just below the saddle heading back down to the cars somewhere right around here i got to pull a dead mouse out of Denali's mouth with Mer prying it open. It was a great 2 peak day, it was a first for Ken and Mer. I'm hoping to get out at least one more time before the snow hits. Hope you enjoy the images, maybe Mer will post some of hers. Till our next adventure! _________________ |

| Amazing pics, especially of the dogs, "Ghost and Denali", "Denali on the summit" and your "lucky shot of the day " are perfection! Have to say to, the Sierra and Jack pic, the one that's in the HOTM too, is adorable! |

| I love those pictures. I want to go to Colorado now! Second from the bottom is my favorite; I'm a sucker for pictures of blue skies. It looks like Sierra's practicing to be a mountain goat! |

| Great pictures! My heart is full of envy...
P.S. in the 9th picture, Denali looks like he left the stove on or forgot he had to pick his kid up from school. The beautiful scenery made him have an existential crisis. |
