Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I have several message now setting in my out box, four of them are from the "Contact Us" I tried to send rather than posting this in the forum. I also have four copies of the same message that I tried to send to a user and everything is setting in my outbox - do we have a problem?? _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I got a message from each of you, no problem. Sent a reply which is now setting in my outbox. It's almost like the system has "Outbox" and "Sentbox" backwards ....????? _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Check to see if your sent box is full... there may be no b room for any new ones. But you probably already knew that. Mine is in my sent box. |

| so i sent one to amy and it worked, hung out in my outbox for a min or so. Have you refreshed the page or logged out/in anytime soon?
normally my sent box clears its self when it gets to full. i did not some messages in my outbox but all were from 2014 or earlier.
Al, not sure what the issue could be on your end... _________________ |

| Jennifer, if it were on my end then I'd be troubleshooting the problem. The messages I've sent *do not* go to my sent box, they hang in the outbox which why I - obviously erroneously - assumed they hadn't been sent. I clean up all my boxes when they start to approach the 50% mark so it's not a matter of something being full. I don't typically log in/out. However the messages in my outbox have held overnight (when I shut the computer down) and through two reboots today.
The expected behaviour would be that the message goes from the editing state, into the outbox and then into the sentbox once the message has been sent. What I'm seeing, now that I've received some PM's, is the message goes from the editing state to the outbox and - for me - stays there, as if it hasn't been sent, rather than shifting over to the sentbox.
Very odd behaviour .... if it's only me then I can live with it, but if it were happening forum wide, I thought you all might want to be made aware of it. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| That's happened to me before Al and I wondered if it shows up in the sent box once it's been read by the recipient? |

I received a PM from one of our friends who said that that is in fact the way the forum works. It's odd that this is the first time I've noticed it since I do clean up on a reasonably regular basis. It's also, to me, odd behaviour - but if it hangs in the outbox till it's been read and then goes to the sentbox, okay ... I change what I see was expected behaviour - here. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Some sites have "read", "unread" icons or status boxes, maybe this outbox thing is just another version of it. |

| The outbox is where messages you sent sits until the person you sent them to opens them. Or that's how it should be. So basically, you are right Jimmy. It is a folder/box for unread messages you have sent. _________________ |
