| I don't know that I see husky there at all. It was probably said because of the blue eyes but there are herding breeds that have blue eyes as well (Aussies). With the short hair and speckles, maybe a Heeler. |

| I agree with Sara. To me, he looks just like all the other ranch dogs around here that are usually mixes of border collie, heeler, and Australian Shepherd with a variety of eye colors from brown, blue, to bicolored. |

| He's adorable whatever breed he is the "breeder" bred them, is there a reason you don't think he/she is telling you the truth? I guess it happens but I don't really see the point in misrepresenting a mixed dog, it's mixed. |

| I don't necessarily think he was lying about his breed, possible misinformed about what his own dogs were. Also, he claimed that the parents were on site but refused to let us see them (at that point I had already fallen in love with him, so in the moment it didn't make too much of a difference). The longer we've had him the longer I've had to think about all the reasons why he wouldn't let us the parents. Possibly they were dirty, or aggressive, or maybe if we saw them we'd be able to tell they weren't the breeds he claimed them to be. It would just be nice to have some peace of mind to know for sure what he is - for health reasons and any behaviours that are predominant in his breeds. |

| I definitely see border collie. They can have blue eyes. The face and ears look kind of lab like to me. It's possible he misrepresented it. Huskies are kind of expensive. Shelters around here always guess husky even though they're not that common in these parts. |

| Yeah, I don't see any husky in him. Heeler maybe. Blue eyes can show up in a lot of dogs--there's 2 pitbulls at the dog park that are blue pits with bright blue eyes. |

| There is DEFINITELY some beagle in there too. I would say border collie beagle mix. Beagles have the ticking (the spots) and floppy ears, but his ears are triangular, like an Australian shepherd or border collie. The paws scream beagle as well as his chest. I don't see heeler in there at all, but it might be in there somewhere. What is his weight like?
I'm actually dead positive it's beagle border collie. Border Collies can have blue eyes, but the parents could have been mixed as well. I see a lot of beagle and a lot of border collie, but there could be some aussie in there as well. |

| This one was taken last week when he was 17 weeks and just over 23 pounds. The DNA test results should be in less than a week. While I know they're not known to be super accurate it will probably give me a better idea than the breeder did. |

| With this new picture, I'm thinking great dane. They can have blue eyes and have a similar build, coat color, and facial structure as your baby. Also, his weight is suggesting big dog as well. |

| The DNA results are in! And I guess this will be goodbye as he apparently is a Boxer, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and a Collie. What do you think? |

| Apparently not! I was hoping it would come back as Border Collie/Husky like his breeder claimed him to be. He does have webbed feet though, so even if the test is incorrect and he is Border Collie/Husky there would still have to be another breed in him |

| Wait did it say border collie or just collie?
You should stick around anyway. Most dog training and behavior is pretty universal. We love puppies of all kinds! |

| The list of breeds, were there percentages or just the likely breeds? I just don't understand how the breeder could be THAT far off. Atleast now you have a better idea what you are working with as far as training and temperament, health etc. he is truly a beautiful dog. If you wanna stick around, I can give you some of Kohdi's fluff to look more husky-ish, he won't even miss it |

| Yeep!!!! I'm sorry, I don't see any of the three breeds listed in your picture ... and I had to go looking to see what a "toller" is (a miniature red setter). Are you *really* sure they sent you the results for *your* dog??? << teasing, sorta >> In any case, you definitely don't have to leave, you've been a joy to read and your pup is quite the "person". It's been fun and interesting watching him grow! _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Amber.....I've sat out on this one, he is a curious looking guy, very pretty, um, handsome, sorry. Funny thing with DNA tests......my neighbor rescued a very cute reddish dog, she wondered what breed he was so she sent out for his DNA to be tested. Came back with 3 breeds that do not look anything like him. So she went to another DNA company, and they listed 3 different breeds than the first company, and they still didn't really match what hers looks like.
With the webbed feet, many dogs beyond water retrieving dogs can have webbed feet, Miya does, and her bff who is all husky has webbed feet. I understand your desire to know his breeds, much easier to identify behavior and training issues that may come up. At this point though, you may have to wait until he is past a year old, and pick up on his traits and looks, since at a year he should be fully grown. I see a short haired pointer type dog in him.
My last interesting note, and this one should make you laugh. When our GSD passed on, my sister got my parents a new pup. They were getting older, so she thought a medium sized dog would suit them best, over a large breed that they always had. So she brought them a half brother to her golden retriever. She told them he was part golden retriever and part cocker spaniel. Jeter ended up being the "Clifford the Big Red Dog" dog, he was a brilliant red and weighed in at close to 150 pounds. No retriever and definitely no spaniel weigh that much, and he was at a very healthy weight, since he was very tall and long, lol. Sometimes, we get what we fall in love with, and genes from generations ago just show up. Enjoy your guy, he is gorgeous, and yes I agree with the others, we would like you to stay and share with us Dallas growing up!! |

| That's no nice of you all to want us to stay! I've slept on the results and I've gone back and forth on how I feel about them. I see the Boxer in his face shape and the build of his body - he's already a very muscular dog at only 4 months. The Toller I just think it's too big of a coincidence that his results came back with a breed that has webbed toes (and it's a dominant gene - I looked it up lol). And the Collie (assuming smooth) attributes his coat colour and design and his blue eyes. I haven't had a chance to do very much research into each breeds personality and temperament yet, so I'm not sure how much that matched up. |
