Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| After his evening walk and our dinner (which, as usual, was shared with Mr. Dog), Ami appeared to want to go out...he does this little hoppy thing where he hops forward while, I kid you not, waving his head as if to say "come on, come on, lets go..." Just like Lassie in the old tv shows when she led the rescuers to Timmy.
So I walk to the back door...Ami stops dead and just looks at me. So I say..."ok,ok, so you're a front door dog" and walk to the front door...but he has only gone half way into the laundry room and stands there very alert and focused on me. I'm a bit lost by this and just look at him.
And begin to laugh, a deep, belly laugh much appreciated to lift my gray mood.
WHy? Because when I made eye contact, he glanced over at the freezer and started licking his chops.
Yup...that's where his bones are... |

| Checking in, finally have some time for a forum! Amy Maya does the head thing too, must be a husky thing...and if ignored we start the brrr thing and that doesn't work we muzzle punch to get your attention. This is lots of fun when working at the computer with head phones on, deep in concentration and then an unexpected thump in my side, next thing I know I jump which in turn scares her also so she goes tearing out the office. |

Great to hear from you again, Hughie That progression sounds a lot like Ami - particularly if I'm on the computer or drinking coffee at the table. Or if I'm busy walking around, I get the "butt butt" where he runs up, bumps me in the butt with his snout and then bounces back with an engaging "let's play" look on his face. |
