| So, I was thinking earlier that 80% of my time at home is spent on my furballs. I spend about an hour+ with them in the morning and then most of the evening walking them, playing, feeding them, etc after I get home from work. It might seem like a lot for me because i work 9-5 (my boss is flexible so maybe less than 8hrs daily). On the weekends it's mostly about them during the day. I will sit outside in the yard with them for an hour here and there throughout the day just so that they can be outside. I won't leave them outside alone for more than a minute...if that. People say that my life revolves around them and you know what? It's true, but I love it! It's hectic most of the time and frustrating too, but I wouldn't change it for anything!
I was just wondering much time you guys spend with them or taking care of them daily? I'm sure many of you do more than me, but I'm pretty sure that they're content, spoiled doggies =0) |

| If I don't have work at 7am we go out for our hour walk. Then i'm either around the house with them until I leave for work/school. When I have work at 1pm they come with and I spend a lot of time with them (taking them out of the group and bringing them outside with me for a break ect. ect.) Or if i'm not working at all that day we head to the dog park around 3:30-4 and stay for 1 1/2- 2 hours. Then there's dinner time and TV couch time... I spend a lot of time with them but I wouldn't rather be doing anything else! _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! | I guess I didn't realize how much time I spend with mine until you brought this up. M-F I spend two hours with them in the morning and 5 hours at night. Weekends, they get me all day. No matter what I am doing around the house or outside, they are always right there with me and I'm interacting with them the whole time. There's just no ignoring them. =-) So I guess my life revolves around them too... |

It's funny b/c I hadn't really realized it either until a friend of mine told me that my life is them. She came over on Sunday was like wow dude, all you do is for them and then that made me think. I spend most of my free time with them. Even when we have something to do on the weekends (a birthday party, dinner, out with our friends, etc) then entire time I have myself on a time limit because we can't leave them for more than 5hrs (and that's pushing it for me). I've even left my husband at places and he's had somebody bring him home b/c I was like we're leaving now or you're staying....LOL |

| Almost my entire day is consumed by my pets. First thing when I wake up, I take a shower then it's off to walk the dogs. Get home then let the dogs run around in the backyard, and then it's time to feed the dogs. Then I eat my own breakfast. After everyone's fed it's time to brush the dogs' teeth and clean their water bowl. Then I feed the guinea pigs, clean their cage, and refill their hay and water. Now I've got a couple hours to do housework, run errands, go shopping, and check emails (and spend time on the forum). Then midday it's out for another walk with the dogs, return home and let them run about the backyard again. Then we come inside and the dogs get their midday snack. I eat my midday snack then I've got another couple hours to do housework and stuff online. Then early afternoon hubby comes home from work and then it's time to feed the dogs their dinner (main meal of the day). Then it's back outside for a little bit. Then we come back inside and I prepare and feed the guinea pigs their vegetable dinner. Clean all the dog and guinea pig bowls and then it's time to cook dinner for us humans. After dinner I clean up the kitchen, feed the fish, and I'm back on my computer one last time before bed. Take the dogs out for one last potty walk, clean the guinea pig cage again and refill their hay and water, then watch TV for an hour and off to bed. If I didn't have all these animals I would have so much free time I wouldn't know what to do with myself! _________________ |
