1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. He has improved so much! He used to lunge straight for the cat, regardless of what we said or did. Wooo hooo!!

Nice job! You have a lot more patience than I do!! Haha.
Even with such breakthroughs (again, not trying to be debbie downer) just make sure they are NEVER left unattended alone. There are too many horror stories out there And I've heard them over and over again.

Thank you!! I know I will never leave them unattended, but to have them in the same room is amazing. I used to have to keep the kitty in his own bedroom unless Reiko was in his cage, but he's been out and about since

Excellent progress! I echo what Tori said about never letting your guard down, that goes even for dogs who are raised with cats and small animals, and it even applies to smaller dogs too.

That's great!! Your cat is impressively cool about the whole thing *lol* - my cat would start swatting, bush up, and growl back...

Thanks! Yeah I wouldn't put it past the two of them for creating another horror story involving a kitty. But I'm so happy with the progress he's made.
As for the cat being cool about it, I think he's going for the " if I lay low, the dog might forget that i'm here."

A big advantage is that the cat is so cool.. We have three cats and one of them hates Anubis, evertime he gets near, the cat attacks him. And what I really don´t understand about it is that even if he getws a full punch to the nose, instead of not getting near to the cat anymore he gets near right after he took the beating. Maybe it is because he is a very dominant dog. So even if someone is in the room I have to be careful that there will be no serious fight, I don´t want a dead cat or an one eyed dog ..
