Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hey guys!

So I did look for a thread already about pet mice, but the only thread I found was about feeding them raw Sad Although my girls are always trying to eat my mice!!

This is Peanut :3

They may or may not be brothers, I'm not sure. These mice were purely bred to feed snakes but I rescued these 2 before they were all gassed. pale
When I got them I had no clue about mice, this was my first time keeping mice but I'm happy to report after 6 months they are both still alive and kicking, although they have their own cages since I had no idea male mice fight!!

Would I get more mice in the future? 100% yes! They love being out, (well apart from when Sasha and Skye try to eat them!) having play time, people have a view that mice are dirty and horrible but they couldn't be more wrong, they make such great pets Smile

Anyone else here keep mice?

Yes...but not willingly Evil or Very Mad It's just the two of us now and I don't get upstairs all that often. Today I was up there and in the front bedroom, the stench of mouse was awful. My work is cut out for me tomorrow - the 2 top dresser drawers were clearly used for nesting. I'm afraid the odor my have permeated the wood - and I have to find out where they got all the stuffing-fluff for nesting - it's either the mattress, the box spring or, worst sceneario, the leather couch in that room...

My boy gobbles up the little field mice and voles every chance he gets. I would carefully watch yours - these dogs can be QUICK!

I have to agree with amymeme, the mice and I don't get along at all. Especially with their fondness for my food and them pooping in every storage space if not killed. Evil or Very Mad

Domesticated mice don't sound as evil though... I guess... xD

Aww you guys are so mean LOL, but I do know what you mean, we had mice in the ceiling when I was a kid, used to keep me up all night lol. I pretty much love all animals though, our house would be a zoo if my OH didn't have anything to say about it hahaha!!

I actually love mice! I think they're super cute. I used to have two a couple of years ago. Sadly they passed away about a week apart from each other after having them for two years (which I think is their life span). I like Peanut haha
