No, don't apologize Michael, skeeters actually make sense to me now that I know you meant mosquitos, LOL. As far as I know, I don't have mosquitos. I know they exist but I've never had a problem with them here. I do have those pesky little gnats flying around in the mornings, I see the birds plucking them out of the air, it's so cool cuz Kohdi gets annoyed at the craziness of the birds flying patterns as they're catching these things in the air, so he tries to catch the birds, lol. But the gnat thing is short lived. You live right on a lake though don't you? I thought I saw pics of Bodhi on your deck before. I can imagine how bad mosquitos can be around a lake, I feel for you. These fire pits are amazing, maybe it would help! How about enclosing the deck in those nets like they do in Florida?

No lake, woods. They will start to die off soon , like in another month if it stays dry.

Ahhh, then yes, a gas fire pit would be awesome for you guys cuz you can't catch your woods on fire hope it stays dry for you! If it's anything like here, you have no worries, doesn't look like we will see rain again til the holidays. We have had next to nothing this season.

We throw sage on our fire pit to help with mosquitoes, but our pit is wood burning. Never tried that on a gas pit before. Would probably mess up the pretty rocks. I like all the neat options that gas pits have. _________________

@Mike...thanks Mike! I LOVE this place. They throw some awesome parties! They even feed us, LOL. Underneath the hotel is a restaurant for employees, it's buffet style, and really good! I mostly just sit there and wolf down their desserts, LOL, I can't even describe how good they are. I haven't seen the ghost though...I wanna see her! @Jenn... I'm thinking a oven rack over the top maybe, with the sage on a pan or pie tin? Think that would work? This one isn't fancy like the one I really really wanted (it had a built in water feature) but everything is hidden, like the gas, the control panel, flame is adjustable, etc. and it has brown fire glass instead of lava rocks, it matches the furniture pretty good. I notice the fancier ones have glass partition like pieces, I think they block wind, so I'm thinking of making some of those. I noticed medicine cabinets in bathrooms have nice glass shelves that would probly work, I just gotta attach some kind of brackets to hold them. Or...those decorative plate display holders would probly work too. @Jennifer...I honestly never heard the term "skeeters" I looked it up and first I saw bees and thought "wtf" then I saw boats and thought that was a little more logical (my dumbass) The hotel is beautiful, they are soon to be going through a millions and millions of dollars renovation, adding new hotel buildings, reconfiguring, gonna have two stories of underground parking too, they can't touch any of the historical buildings though, that's a good thing
