We got him this morning. He's 3 months old. The man that gave him to us had him in his car where he pooped so he was REALLY smelly lol hahaha so we HAD to wash him when we got home, he didn't like that... he was manically afraid. Howling/barking, etc. he really hated the water. He also threw up in the car on the way home. so it was very stressful for him this morning But now he's alright, he found Mindy's tennis ball and started playing with it, it was really cute <: Here he is!
Now I need to name him, lol

Congrats Orion, he's a beauty. I just love those spots on his nose. Have you finally picked a name? Have fun, they don't stay small long enough!!

Congratulations on your new baby I have a black and white male called Orion (although my boy was named primarily after a piece of music not the constellation) so I can say I'm partial to the name lol I also love the name Rigel, I don't think I have heard that one before! What does Rigel mean? Have fun with him

Thank you!!! lol yeah he does have cute spots haha.
I have finally given him a name... it's Orion :p I figured, since only some friends call me that, it'll be fine. And I also couldn't resist, huskies with dark masks/heads and blue eyes really fit the name Orion visually. I have this luck with names though that when I name pets they turn out to be just like the name I chose, so I hope he doesn't become a hunter lol!!! I should have called him Canis Major ;D

Rigel is the brightest star in the Orion constellation, and is in the top 10 brightest stars in the sky(it's on number 7), It's the foot of the hunter, or some call it his toe It's pronounced Ray-jell but I prefer the Ree-ghell pronunciation
Orion also went for his first walk with us today, the first time was short because he was scared of his leash(I really doubt they ever put him on a leash) but we tried it again in the evening and... wonders. He was perfect on the leash, very comfortable. So we took him for a short walk.
More photos!

Hehe if he is anything like my Orion he certainly will be a Hunter! Orion catches and kills anything he can, hedgehogs, rabbits, hares, opossums - the other day he came prancing to the door with a friggin pigeon! Good Luck

Haha well then, this might be interesting! lol
Orion after deciding to poop right under my bed(not to mention that his food changed from what he had there to what I give him, so it really wasn't the nicest sight.)

Haha I wanted to go with it but then I met a guy on the road with a Husky called Sirius and my dreams were shattered because I'd feel weird having two Siriuses in town :p

He gained his two nicknames from us: Natalie Portman and Stormageddon. lol
Haha, thanks! I also have a video from a few days after we got him, where he's trying to take Mindy for a walk ;D I'm having trouble getting it tho, but once I do I'll put it up!

Story time!!! Orion stayed at home with my brother a couple of days ago, when I got home he didn't greet me the way he usually does, he just laid there, howled a bit and came up to me and went back to sleep. His eyes were literally blood red and he didn't eat his dinner. He also looked super fat so I thought, ok, something's not getting through there. He kept vomiting up tiny little bits, like, he was spitting vomit rather than actually vomiting. And in the evening it got so bad that he laid down and whimpered in pain, I was about to call the emergency vet because it looked like something pretty bad was up. Finally tho he threw up-- 3 times in a row---there was a huge vomit puddle on the floor!-- and I just looked at the vomit and got so confused... it looked like pieces of torn up chicken, but I didn't give him chicken in the morning when I gave him his food, and the vomit looked super weird in general. Turns out, when my brother got home he told us, that he left two pieces of raw chicken on the counter, covered in egg and all so it was ready to be fried.... and went outside for a smoke and left the dog inside. What happened? Orion not only broke the plate, but ate the WHOLE chicken. He was a fountain from both sides. Not a nice sight. He's okay now though, I was really worried at first and had to get up 3 times in the night to let him out, but he's so much better now. He scared me lol
I'm uploading some new photos right now, will have some up later on!

Look at my boy all grown up! The past 9 months with my Husky have been amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better dog, unfortunately things are not so good at home and my brother and father don't listen so the poor guy was actually abused(mainly verbally) without my knowledge which made him end up with a mouthing issue, but we are working on it and he is becoming better each and every day, we spend most of our days at my mom's place now, and he absolutely loves my mom and sister
His name has changed once again, his full name now is Orion-Bobbi Mockingbird Stormageddon. No, it's not a paper name, I just have a habit of naming my pets with really long names! His call name became Bobbi and he responds to both Bobbi and Orion. He is the founding member of my soon-to-include-more-dogs dog team called North Arrow and his mushing name is Mockingbird! (not professionally, I wouldn't want copyright issues as Bobbi Morse is Mockingbird from Marvel Comics (; )
I have also decided to break stereotypes with my boy, and teach him some things I heard many people say Huskies just won't do.(but hey, every dog is different !) We're actively doing dog dancing, frisbee and our own at-home-version of Schutzhund, as well as working on perfect obedience. Our latest trick is Cop Cop! I have introduced Bobbi to agility and bikejoring and we often canicross. Soon when he's old enough our agility poles will get higher and he will actually pull the bike. It's a shame that in order to do agility competitions you need to be IKC registered here, as my boy isn't. But we can still do dryland mushing races, the Northern Irish Husky Club organizes a set of them every year and I hope we can do the this year when Bobbi will be 18 months old!
So this was my long update, more of a diary entry sort of thing, but I just love my pooch so much! He's exactly what I wanted since I was a teeny baby, I was 2 when my dog was pulling me on my sled in my native country in the snow... he was a Schnauzer mix, and his pulling and the movie Balto both made me want to be a musher in the future, luckily now with Bobbi this is possible (: I love him so much and it's like the Husky is one of my ideal breeds.

haha yep! I think it's great for working on impulse control if you have a very high drive or just simply hyper dog lol!
