Okay Raiden will probably be a permanent member of the family now. He came back to us from my husbands friend as a pup he got from us, No I no longer breed yes they were all on contracts etc., and he is different than when he went at 8 weeks.

At 8 weeks he had no problems submissive or fear peeing. When I watched him at 11 weeks he also did not do this. Well fast forward a little while and he is doing this BAD. He will pee when my husband goes to pet him, he pees when we put him in his crate, he pees when you put a collar on him, he pees on his way outside ( we use a tie out ), and he definitely pees when he is scolded. I don't know what is wrong with this dog and I want to help. Incontinence was ruled out, and he also can hold it in his crate 8 hours. He doesn't have a UTI. I have tried everything from belly bands to giving treats and praising him for doing good. But I do not know what more I can do. My husband's friend wants to keep him and is going through a divorce and trying to find a place to live that will allow dogs. And that won't be until June. So far he has bought 1 bag of food, does NOT ever text asking about his dog, we paid for his shots and microchipped him, and oh, his owner lives the next street over! No one else has this problem with his litter mates. And I see them all and my groomer grooms them.

( please don't judge for breeding, YES I did, No I don't plan to anymore unless I plan to show Siberians. Mom is retired and spayed and all pups went on strict contracts and spay/neuter contracts. I am just trying to help this pup out and get some advice. It's a little upsetting )

Personally, it sounds to me as if the dog has been scared almost to death of something / by someone.   I've never seen a healthy dog (you've ruled this out) who pees at almost any contact unless they're afraid.  Bear in mind, I'm not saying he's afraid of you, but it may just be a learned reaction from his past owner ... sorry to say that.  If that's the case then you've got a full time job on your hands gaining that absolute trust - then I'll bet it stops.

Excitement may be a cause of it but again, once you gain the dogs trust - he doesn't have to get all excited just because - then I think you can engage in normal potting training, if it's even needed.

You've probably said but I don't remember off hand, how old is Raiden now?

( and again a personal comment, I have no problem with you having been a breeder; just ask that if you ever breed again that you do it according to normal guidelines ... and I'm sure you know what they are. )
