Hi everyone!

My husband and I have been lurking for months now but we have finally decided to share photos of our baby Loki! Mom was a malamute and dad was a husky so we have a beautiful mix. Here are the photos so far, he was born Nov 12th, 2013.

We got him early at 6 weeks...

Are you sure mom was a mal? He doesn't look like he has any mal in him at all to me which is surprising if he's really half mal.

Regardless, he's cute and I know you love him no matter what he is! Congrats!

So glad you said that - that was my first impression too, except for briefly, the eyes in the 4 mo. and a little at 5 mo. I love his silvery coat and his lithe build I love you

Such nice comments from everyone!

Are you guys suggesting he looks pure breed? The only thing I find he has that might be from his mom is the extra curly tail when he is happy and his ears to set wide apart when he is relaxed. When he is listening or alert they perk real high.

We did get to see mom and dad when we picked him up and she certainly looked like a mal. She had dark hair on her back, while dad was small, lean and beige.

Loki is very cute! How much does he weigh? That might help determine if he is full sibe or not. Smile Also, my pup's ears get pretty wide when he is relaxed too. I call them the yoda ears ha ha.

If he's 47 pounds at 26 weeks he could indeed be full Sibe. I could sort of see the Mal in the size and shape of his forehead but other than that he looks like a full Sibe to me, too. Very handsome either way! Smile

OK - I definitely see the malamute in him, now - we went to a cruise-in, street festival thing a few weeks ago and there was a Malamute there with his owner and old lincoln - the eyes in the 2nd picture are identical, that rounded, slightly down-dipping soft look. Not the coat though - that mal had fur on fur on fur...enough to make Ami look like a skin-head Laughing His ears and body habitus look totally siberian. He looks so sweet and gentle!

OMG a fellow Montrealer!
We are in Montreal North so we often go to the one is the small parc on Gouin near the old folks homes and we now go to the one in Anjou. Never any dogs in either park. Sad My husband has been disappointed that Loki doesnt get to socialize much.
Where do you go?
