| I have 2 11 wk old pups. Should I take both at the same time to training or would it be alright to just take one then teach the other on my own? |

| Well, let's see what everyone has to say to my response to this.
Should you take them both at the same time - No. Should you take just one and then teach the other - No.
Okay, I'll stop being obtuse - both pups can benefit by the puppy training; but having them in the same class can be counterproductive since they'll probably tend to center their attention on each other when they should be socializing with the other pups.
If the place you're taking them to has, let's say groups on alternating days, that (IMHO) would be best then each pup would get the benefit of the training and the one-on-one time with you.
(( being foolish - of course, if your pups look enough alike, you could take one to a session and then take the other to the next session ..... )) _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I wonder if maybe you could take pup A with you 1 lesson, teach pup B that lesson at home, than take pup B to the next lesson, teach pup A that lesson at home? Rotate them?
Both pups could benefit from the socialization. |

| I agree with what has already been said taking them both at the same time will just be rough and counter productive. Honestly if the group you are training with has like a class One day and then a second class the next day for example like a Tuesday class and a Wednesday class that would be best so they can both have there own class. Taking the pups one at a time gives them the chance to bond with you focus on you and learn. Also you wouldn't want to have one not get to experience class and one not because it's a good experience for both of them. Now if you can't do two classes at the same time you could take one to class and work with one at home and then when the class is done and the next class starts take the other one. |

| Thanks everyone. I spoke to the trainer and we start Monday. I'll take both to the first class so the trainer can "look" at them. It's only 5 classes so I'll just do one at a time. |
