Forum Rules

Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Well unofficially as of right now....BUT today Dakota, our 10.5 year old boy, got his final qualifying leg toward his Working Dog Title in IWPA Weight pulling. He pulled a total of 680lbs and made his momma super proud! No photos from the event this weekend...but here are a couple from his past achievements!
IWPA Region 2 60lb class Silver Medalist 2013
Last Chance Pull 2013 680lb and 760lb pulls (2 qualifiers)
Yakima Sportsmen Show Pull 2013 personal best 830lbs (1 qualifier)

You caught my interest awhile back, read a previous thread of yours about Dakota, I was bummed to learn no pulling here or near Texas this year, I checked the IWPA site. Do you recommend pulling tires as a start, that's what they(IWPA) suggested?

I pull wheels (IWPA term for cart) because that's the easiest for us to find up here, and easier than snow. Hoping to do snow this year, depending on the availability and location-

It finally became official!!!
Plus:
on the last weight pull of the 2014-15 season Dakota pulled a new personal best AND earned a qualifying leg toward his WDX title!

Thanks! We sure like to think so and at the risk of getting a little 'sappy' and nostalgic we realized that not only is Dakota our 'foundation' (lol if you can call a neutered pet that) but really he started this whole crazy love obsession with the breed. But also, he's the first (of hopefully many) performance titled dogs we have exclusively put all the qualifiers on.
