Klaus is growing up BEAUTIFULLY, and you take some amazing pics!!! He just looks SO happy!!!

Thank you so much. He is a very happy loving puppy. Honestly when we first got him he was pretty closed off but now he just loves everyone and every dog that he meets. I really hope his mask and color doesn't change too much I'm noticing some grey undercoat starting to show more and more around his shoulders and hind area.

He has a heavy mask, I really don't think it will change that much at all. Normally when the mask goes right up to the eyes like that, that mask will stay. If he would have some white between the eye and the mask itself, *then* I'd say expect some changes, but Klaus doesn't The grey undercoat, honestly, I think will just add some depth to his coat, it'll look cool, don't worry

You take some really good pics, I love all of them, but the one directly under 'so proud' (where he's running towards you thru the snow) THAT is the pic of the happiest husky ever!!!

Okay so it's been a while since I've updated, I've been so busy with work and school lately! I really want to try and stay active now so I figured it would be a good time to add to our scrapbook. Klaus just turned a year old yesterday! I cannot believe how fast it all went by. He's really grown into a great dog, no way I could picture our family without him. His crate training and potty training was a breeze, he is however a very stubborn boy when it comes to listening to his commands (selective hearing). On the dominant/bully side, hoping that gets better in time. Just last week we met with a personal trainer for the first time and now we're working on better listening and leash skills. I was really hoping he would be a talker, but he's pretty quiet. He'll woo out of excitement when someone comes over, when it's time for dinner, or doesn't want to do something but no howling for us!  Last time he was weighed he was about 55lbs, but I'd imagine we still have some filling out to do. Anyhow here's our now 1 year old boy!

Thanks everyone! He does enjoy being in the mud, any chance he gets! Fun for him no so much for us lol.
I'm actually so happy he has learned to love car rides, he hated them so much when we first got him.

Happy Birthday, Klaus! He is every bit as handsome now as he was as a pup. and your pictures are beautiful.

For ycomparison - Ami was about a year old when we got him, weighed 57 pounds, I think. He's about 3 now, about a month ago he was 76#, but at that weight he feels pudgy to me - last May he was 73 and I still thought he was a bit padded. He's now much more svelt but I haven't weighed him - I'm guessing 68-72 ish. ANd, like Klaus, he only "talks" when its food time, people come to the house or he wants a walk or play. I've only heard him howl twice in 2 years. A bit disappointed in that - I wanted a talker like my first husky.

Amy - Wow they were really close in weight at a year. Haha, I hope Klaus doesn't pass 65 once he fills out but we shall see! I feel like he is a shorter than some so maybe that wish will come true. We had the DTE guy knock on our door the other day and Klaus just stood in silence wagging his tail. Not a peep! But once he came in our yard he started wooing and wanting to play.
