| Bandit she is 5 months Cannot he is 2.5 years
Bandit loves bothering him. At some points she leaves him alone buy only after I intervene. Neither of them get hurt. I don't thunk Cannoli particularly likes it but he takes it and fights it. So should I be worried or just let them go. She does eventually Stop though.

| No problem Haha, well, there isn't anything to worry about in terms of a problem. They both seem to be holding their own and having a general respect for each other. If anything, Bandit is just guilty, smoking gun and all, of being a young, annoying brat of a Husky....which is to say, perfectly normal The pawing on the head cracked me the heck up. This will naturally taper off some as Bandit ages. |

| On one hand I quite agree with Jeff, Bandits actions are completely normal for a Husky pup; what bothers me some is that when Cannoli tells her to back off she doesn't. While Cannoli seems comfortable that Bandit isn't going to hurt him, apparently recognizing the play, he also doesn't seem to be happy at being the "rag doll" for Bandits play.
To a degree, I'd allow the interaction - as you show it - to continue within limits. When Cannoli is obviously getting stressed with the big lug(ette) pushing his buttons, I'd intervene and put Bandit into a time out for a while.
Husky's want and need to play, it's almost a part of their nature; at the same time all dogs need to be able to have their own space. You're going to have to work with both of them to determine what the limits need to be. _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I agree with the above...my Mishka is just 3 months older than your Bandit, and my Kohdi is 1 year younger than your Cannot (that one year might be the difference in maturity level and tolerance your Cannot has that Kohdi does not (so much)) Mishka is like Bandit, almost relentless in play, Kohdi eventually does get fed up, and when that happens it can get pretty scary....and yet they adore each other, but eventually enough is enough for Kohdi. What I've been doing is watching them at play more often and when I see Kohdi's tolerance subsiding, I step in and seperate them. I know it will get better as Mishka gets older, but I don't want either dog hurt physically or emotionally while she is still so young. |

| If Connoli really didn't want the young puppy annoying the crap out him , he'd either jump down or assert himself in a way that gets the point across. He just lays there and takes it, engaged the whole time. That's the dog equivalent of informed consent.
As Jimmy said, when enough is enough it will get "scarey." |

| Just like Kesler!!! Kesler always wants to play...Sinatra is more laid back and while he loves to play as well, sometimes he just wants to lay at our feet in peace which Kesler does not allow. I let them play (or let Kesler bug Sinatra) for a while, but if I notice that Kesler just isn't taking the hint, I will separate them. (I also don't want Sinatra to get too upset as he is having some anxiety relapses) I think you can use your judgement based on their actions...you know your dogs different moods |

| We have my son's dog, Archer, a husky mix 8 mo old. Archer and Ami are fast friends, forever, kind of deal. But, Archer is non-stop, go-go-go. Ami sometimes gets tired while Archer is still all over him. There has never been any "scary" stuff except once over a bone, when Ami decided he was not going to roll over (so to speak) this time. The squirt left with his tail between his legs. Other wise, I just tether them when I think Ami needs a break. Ami then goes in his house and sleeps. Archer sits outside his house at full attention, facing and watching Ami. So, I think your pup is really quite representative of his breed and age. Cannoli looks like she tolerates the shrimp, barely, so I would tend to give him a break now and then...just because 8 mo old husky pups are full of piss and vinegar with boundless energy and us old folks need our rest |

| The interaction in these videos looks exactly like my Zo with my parents pomeranian mix Pippin (who is tiny like Cannoli). She will try to get him to play with her for hours and hours. He obliges for an hour or so but then wants to be left alone. Pippin does a pretty good holding his own, but I have noticed as Zo gets bigger he is more hesitant to correct her. Generally my parents sheltie will step in and "yell" at Zo until she calms down.
If he doesn't step in though I do. I usually just separate them for an hour or so to give Pippin a break to sleep and rest up for round 2. Know the signs whether Cannoli is getting stressed out and go from there. Husky puppies have too much energy for everyone! |

| Bandit got a taste of her own medicine this past Saturday. While at my mommoms she pushed too much with my cousins German Shepard and he started playing back. She didn't want to play but he did. She was getting stressed out I had to seperate them. So maybe she will learn from that. We shall see! |
