Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. New puppy won't stop crying Empty
PostSubject: New puppy won't stop crying    New puppy won't stop crying EmptyMon Dec 01, 2014 10:07 am

I got a new 8 week old puppy three days ago. We got her from a guy who's male and female hickeys accidentally got pregnant. He was not a breeder just a guy with husky's that accodently made puppies! The dogs and puppies were left outside since birth in a concrete backyard with very minimal human contact or attention.
Days 1&2 she was VERY timid. Hid in the corners of the house, Burroughed into pillows and blankets, wouldn't make eye contact, shook constantly. She wouldn't eat or walk Around. When I got her in the yard she just stood there shaking.. but she did pee everytime I put her down outside. (Only peed inside once when I startled her!) I took her to the vet for her shots and they said she was healthy just needed some attention and love to open up so I've been showering her with love.
Day 3 she came out of her shell a little and ate, drank water, pee'd and pooped outside! She finally started walking around the yard to the point where she would run with me and chase me! (I'm finally excited she's not so scared at this point!) we played outside for hours and she was happy.
Day 4 is today. She's following me around the house crying at me. She ate, she drank water, outside she pee'd and she pooped. She has her toys and a bone. There's nothing she could possibly want from me. When I go to pet her she runs... She's just following me crying and crying and I went outside to smoke a cigarette she stood at the top of the steps crying howling and growling. I refused to come in for a few minutes because I don't want her to think crying is going to get my attention. She does NOT act this way towards my boyfriend....
I've never had a husky or a puppy THIS young.. Is this behavior normal ? I have work tomorrow for the first time since I got her and I fear she's going to panic but I don't want her to get too attached to me and wind up with a seperation anxiety issue. She has not been in a crate yet bc she was so timid we let her sleep in her bed on the floor next to our bed. Tomorrow she will be in the crate while we're working. Today I put the crate out so she see's it and hopefully goes in it herself. Suggestions !
