| Hey everyone, I thought I would start putting up some pics here of my little fluff ball, Aurora. We are having a blast so far and we are both learning a lot, excited for all the many more activities to come, and I really can't wait until her first Winter! =) 5 minutes after I picked her up, we are ready for the drive home Slowly getting used to her crate with the door open Getting some sun after a recent rain earlier in the day Playing in the front yard Contemplating going down the stairs for the first time And success! 2 hours later =) |

| Just an update from our first camping trip, it was so much fun and Aurora had a blast. We left last Thursday and got back early this morning. Probably my favorite town in Alaska is Seward and I literally go about once a month on average since this past December, so it was only natural that I bring Aurora to check it out. After a long 8 hour drive we finally made it. We played met lots of new people (tourists) as well as dogs and also played in the water (river and ocean) for the first time. She did great in the tent and slept through the night for the most part which was awesome. Here are some of my favorite pics from the last 5 days. [Note]: Aurora is 9 1/2 weeks old during these pics Aurora and I playing on the docks in Seward, AK Aurora playing with her new best friend, Bristol Aurora and Bristol playing tag with the stick. Aurora found a short cut in order to catch Bristol haha. Aurora enjoying the messy gear in the back of the truck, she slept here for a few hours. She loves cuddling up with all my gear haha. Aurora, Bristol and I playing in the river in Seward. Bristol taught Aurora how to go in the water, it was so awesome. That was Aurora's first time in the water. Perfect day for a walk along Resurrection Bay in Seward, AK On the road again, driving back home. She was sitting in the back seat with her paws on the center console and her head on my shoulder just hanging out =) |

Me and Ami, too You both look so happy and complete. The scenery is incredible and you have now renewed both puppy fever and RV fever...I really want to hit the road with the hubby and the puppy and see the country! By the way - Aurora could be the reincarnation of my long ago girl, Sasha. |

Okami and me 3! I want to live in Alaska so bad My husband hates the cold lol (even though we live in Michigan) Since Alaska is way colder, it is unlikely we are to move there. Your pup is so awesome! I just hope you are being careful with all the running you are having her do (not trying to be the bad guy) You really shouldn't run them that early :/ |

| great pictures but basted on all that you are doing with her so young please watch her growing joints and plates, that much running and activity will cause future issues. you should wait till she is a yr old or 18months to take her biking and snowboarding.
Alaska is on my list to visit! _________________ |

| Thanks everyone! come up and visit and we'll have a huge Husky play date haha yeah if you haven't been here, you've got to visit! Pictures can only show so much, you've got to experience it for yourself. It definitely does get cold here, especially in the interior (Fairbanks) but it's a dry cold and we don't get wind so it's not so bad. Definitely look us up if anyone comes up to visit AK or just has any questions, we try to explore quite a bit so I'd like to think I could offer some good suggestions haha. Lucy and Jennifer- I appreciate the concern about her running too much and her joints Both the snowboarding and mtn biking were very very short, I'm just getting her used to following and teaching her not to run in front of the board or bikes. Trust me, it's driving us both crazy not being able to do more haha and I can't wait until she is older and can really enjoy the activities with me. So we just hike up little hills and practice so that way the consistent running stays very short. She hates it when the bike or snowboard stops , she's gonna have a blast when she is older!! |

| thank you for clearing that up Jaime, just want the best, longest life for your girl! she has plenty of yrs to rock it with you in AK!
im at the point with our girl Sierra who will be 12 in March, on deciding how much she should be doing now, she has the spunk and go, but at 12 how good is it really for her... sucks so much!

| no problem, It's good to know people are looking out for the best with our pups just in case the owners don't know any better I'd rather have someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong so I can look into it than for them to just keep it to themselves, I want my Aurora to have the happiest fun filled life! I bet at 12 she still probably wants to run like crazy huh? It's hard to slow them down or stop them from doing something they love so much. Every time I see Aurora run I can't help but smile because she is so happy |

| It is the most inspiring, beautiful thing to watch them run, isn't it? Just wait until you can get her in harness and she starts that dolphin-like run and she's got her ears back to you checking in for commands.
That's the good stuff. Seeing them do what they are designed to do is amazing.
It was difficult for me to have the patience for this stuff too, but well worth it once you're there. |

| Oh God... Me and Okami HATED waiting to run... I would have to force her to slow down sometimes, because that is all she wanted to do at about 10 months was run run run. |

I have to agree with you, Jeff - the other day, while training for the efence, Archer's prong let go. He ran in beautiful, sweeping arcs around an acre...just sheer abandon and love of movement. But there was no ears back checking for commands on that one...little brat, that he is Fortunately, he is a little love bug and likes his people so he went right to my husband when he called. |
