| Holy mother of God. This dog can clear a room faster than my husband after taco night.
Is this possibly food related? It's so bad! I honestly have to get up and check around the house sometimes because I'm convinced she's crapped on the carpet somewhere. Currently we are feeding her the Simply Nourish High Protein Puppy food from PetSmart, but we have some TOTW Pacific Blend on its way in the mail that we were going to try to gradually add in and replace her old food with.
The only other thing she eats are Zukes Grain Free Minis (For Training), and the Dentley's Bones, and the fish chews. She's had the farts long before we introduced the fish chews, so I don't think that's the problem as she just started trying the fish chews today.
She had some problem with loose stool but it seems to slowly be getting better. The farts are still a huge problem though, because she seems to do it constantly!
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I'm assuming maybe and allergy or intolerance, but I need to figure out what it is so we can fix it. Because good Lord, the stench. Lol. |

| Im dealing with the something right now. I think it is because I fed him to much so maybe try that. |

| We've been feeding her 1 1/2 cup twice a day. So I don't think it's an overfeeding problem? |

| The worst gas we have ever had to deal with in our house was when Keno had worms. He was terrible when we got him, got the worms cleared up and he got better. Every once in a while he will pick some up at the park, get stinking, and I'll have to deworm him. It could be the food though too. If switching her doesn't help I would have the vet run a fecal to make sure she didn't get a bug on a walk or something. Not all dewormers cover every type of worm so even if you have been deworming her regularly it could be a worm that your wormer doesn't cover causing the issue. _________________ |

| This will happen when they have an intolerance to one of the ingredients. It's really common in chicken based foods as well, our Cocker Spaniel has the worst farts ever if she eats chicken. You may well see an improvement as you switch over to the TOTW, but keep in mind if you do see improvement but then change to a different formula you could have issues again. Ghost can do Pacific Stream, but we tried a little High Prairie once and thought the paint was going to start peeling in the house _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Thanks all for the input! We are going back to the vet on Sunday for more vaccinations, and will have them do another fecal smear just to be safe. The last one we did a couple weeks ago came back negative. Hopefully TOTW will clear things up a bit. |

| Yeah, I would bet it's food related as well. I think the fecal test is probably unnecessary. I tried giving Diz beggin' strips once, and wow, did I regret it. Big time! It was foul. |

| Most of the time it's food related, how is she doing on the new food? |

| Hahaha! Yeah, hubby blames his farts on the dog sometime lol. She's doing better on the High Protein Grain Free food we have her on (Petsmart store brand, surprisingly good ingredient list!) We think we have it figured out though. She gets soft stinky stool right after extensive training sessions. I think the Zukes grain free minis are messing with her stomach for whatever reason. We're planning on switching to either home made jerky treats, or just plain boiled chicken. |

| Good to hear, home made treats are definitely better but if you are looking for store bought ones check out True Chews jerky, Bravo or Pure Bites treats. All are high quality, USA sourced, and grain free. |

| I had Lycus on BBW for a while, and sweet jesus his farts were atrocious. Lol, the funniest ones are when I see him stretch his butt in the air and he lets one rip at the same time. |

| For Thanksgiving the pups had green tripe and chicken backs. You know what smells worse than green tripe? Green tripe farts. It was horrible and they had some serious hang time. Ugh x.x |

| So we finally cleared up the farts! We switched to Science Diet Grain Free Salmon. I haven't smelled a single fart since then! She's also been much better behaved recently. I wonder if maybe she was acting out because she wasn't feeling well? At any rate, I certainly don't miss the smells lol! |
