Bed-rest might be an overstatement, but basically Doom hurt his leg in the past couple days. I'm not sure how, possibly from when he jumped out of the half-open car window to chase a squirrel when we pulled up to the house the other day. He would limp mainly after bouncing around and playing, first really noticed when I was walking him two days ago.

Anyways, long story short- the vet feels it's probably minor as he keeps playing on it and such, but the problem is they suggest I try to keep him relaxed. Easier said than done for a 6 1/2 month old Husky. Any tips from folks who've been in a similar situation??

tether him to you, that way he cant go messing around. or crate him
Sierra just has surgery and we took her out on a leash to go potty to keep her from running and well she is older so in the house she was just chilling and Jack knew not to mess with her.

This cat was also an asshole, but he's so fat it's adorable and I see him everytime we go but never get a good pic. He usually just waddles by through the hall like a chubby specter. This time around he was drinking from the sink in the examination room..

Thanks for the tips, I have been leashing him for bathroom breaks, otherwise he chases squirrels and birds and everything else. Considering a crate, however he seems a bit improved today - he did his usual "run through the house and jump on all
The beds and do laps" thing earlier that he does when he hasn't been walked or ran, a couple times till I managed to corral him, yesterday this would have causes a limp but today he looked a lot better. Nonetheless, I may consider the crate for when he is acting that way. Better safe than sorry.

Leash when outdoors as has been suggested. To give more freedom than a crate, you could set up a gate and keep him confined to a small room whether it's a bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, etc. This will give him more room to move than a crate but still restrict his activity/movement. The upside to gating in a room is not having to deal with a tether which is annoying if you have to move around to get stuff done and don't want to drag the dog all over with you when he's supposed to be resting.
