Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| If it's down is she scared? If it's up she is happy? When she eats it's down... sometimes in between her legs. When we play and I go after her sometimes it goes down and sometimes it stays up. Like I'll run to her when we are playing and it does that. Is she scared of me or maybe just because something big is coming at her? Please tell me tail meanings!!!! Lol |

| I have found an up tail is confident or trying to look tough in my Bartok (Who is about the same age as your Bandit) or when he is super focused or teasing me when we play "I got the toy chase me to get it back". Ears are a better tell in my opinion. Ears facing forward is focused, ears off to the sides is relaxed, ears back is afraid or nervous or submissive (or all three!)
A down tail might just be she is relaxed or she is too tired to keep it up LOL
If it goes in-between her legs she might be afraid or nervous, that might mean she is insecure around her food dish if she does it while eating. I would check to how she reacts to things around he bowl, if you use your hands be careful.
And she might go "WOAH big human after me! BOOK IT!" and be nervous for a moment. Bartok has made a St. Bernard best friend and she is HUGE compared to him, he adores her, but he panics when he realizes he is "asking" (taunting) a dog triple his size to chase him. (He jumps up and puts his paws in her side when she ignores him)
He hunkers down and goes submissive puppy when she comes up on him but as soon as she turns her back he is right back up to his tricks. *Shakes head* I swear he is just asking to be sat on.
But I hope you found some sense in my jabber! PUPPY OWNERS UNITE! |
