| After much debate, we decided to go with a husky rescue puppy for our new furbaby who we met and picked up yesterday. I was split between lab or husky and adult or baby. Really happy with our decision. He was listed as 5 months old, but it was just a guess. Going to ask my vet Monday. He seems like a sweet heart and someone must have worked with him since he is fine with crates and going potty outside already. Though he does not know any commands like sit or stay. Here is his picture and we are still working on names: |

| I *do not* understand why a puppy like that would be in rescue, too cute to just let go!!
With the look he's giving you, the name has to be something satanic, while it's not evil there's definitely a look of mischievousness there!! (and there are already way too many Loki's!!) Tsuku, Hopi Indian clown, looks good (if you can pronounce that initial Ts!) _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| Jessica,
He is handsome, bless your family for getting him. I'm sure he'll bring you joy and shredded things for years to come, lol. I'm with Al he does look mischievous. Good luck on his name. |

| Hey Al. I agree. We already have a Loki in our house and we are holding off to find more unique names. I never knew how common Loki was for huskies. Thanks for suggestion. |

| People are idiots, get the cute little Husky puppy, and then realize they're in over their heads. We get young ones somewhat regularly in the two rescues I work for. I can't recommend strongly enough to get insurance for him. That's the lesson we learned the hard way with Shadow and now we're kicking ourselves. Congrats on the rescue though, he's super adorable _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I got trupanion free for a month but Loki has a different company - healthypaws. I need to figure out which one to use in next month to keep payments simple but I signed up for auto renew in case I space it. My seniors are not insured and it makes me nervous after dealing with 2 cats with cancer. |

| I think we're going to go with Healthy Paws for Ghost, but Trupanion is really good too. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Love him. He's beautiful. I'll never understand some people. I think he looks like a niko, but that just me. A little different but still kinda keeping wide the naming theme of your others. _________________ |

| We are horrible as a family coming up with names. What about Ichigo (e-chi-go)? He kind of looks like him since puppy has two eye colors. Ichigo is a soul reaper from Bleach who has two faces for those not into anime. Two of us are on fence. Then we have like 20 other names. |

| In the end, Ichigo is his name. The vet clinic indicated I have found yet another very mellow husky so they don't know if it is just my luck or if it is partly due to how mellow I am as person. I asked if he was younger cause he is so mellow and they said nope, he is likely 5 months and appears to be healthy next to the things he is already being treated for now. We will see how he is in a few weeks. Otherwise, he has been a angel compared to Loki so far. He mainly chews his bone, goes to back door for potty, and goes on his short walks. The rest of the time he is cuddling with us or laying on tile floor. If he didn't look so much like a husky I would question if he was a husky with how cuddly he is at 5 months. I'll enjoy it while it last. |

| He is a cute pup! Congratulations on your new addition.
I'm glad to see you when to a rescue. So many need families. I'm hoping my next one will be a rescue as well, but preferably and adult lol. Puppies are super cute but holy crap they are a lot of work lol. |

| Give it some thought and then go with something like; Damn it, Dumb s**t, fuzz ball, fluffy butt, silly puppy, or something similar. Very nice puppy, I've toyed with the idea of adopting a pair of females(Mother and daughter and very strongly bonded to each other) but the rescue that has them believe's tremendously in hoops and paperwork, I just want them to come to my house and see how I live and judge that, not how I answer a form question. |

| The rescue I used basically contacted my vet to confirm all my animals are well taken care of and a few references. It was not husky rescue but a general rescue that pulls dogs from high kill shelters to be adopted in midwest. |
